We have been enjoying Apple Pay for the second day in the Czech Republic. The service was given the go-ahead on the domestic market in the early hours of yesterday, and several thousand users activated it in just one morning. There was - and still is - enormous interest in the service, which was proven, among other things, by the numbers that we received during yesterday afternoon they published. But we were wondering how Apple Pay would fare after 24 hours. We therefore asked all the banks that support the service in the first wave and can thus bring you complete statistics.
The interest in Apple Pay on the part of Czech apple growers exceeded the expectations of banking institutions. At least those were the words of most of them when they gave us the numbers. According to statistics, within 24 hours of launch, the service was particularly popular with AirBank clients, where 25 users activated Apple Pay and made 332 transactions totaling 14 million crowns. There was also considerable interest from Česká spořitelna clients, where the number of activations could be even higher. However, the bank only supports Visa cards for the service, while MasterCard will only be added during March.
We have clearly listed the complete statistics below. For some banks, we also added other interesting facts to the numbers that they told us.

I am one of the few mBank clients and I can confirm that the payment went through without a problem. ;)
I am also one of the few mBank clients :D :D
It's funny how sad how "small" banks are already whining and juggernauts still don't have it :D
Molochy alá-fee for incoming payment :D
At least she had some consolation. After the iPhone brutally crushed Samsung again today, and in a few days it will be from Huawei and Xiaomi. It is possible to at least compete with Honor. Maybe it would like to finally get its head out of ... and stop intoxicating itself with nonsense. Type hurray xxx people paid with srajmobile. ??? That's the reality.
Want numbers for edenred?
I just had a problem with the edenred card in the restaurant. Blocked payment. At the same time, they are on the edenred list. I already reported it to the Act. line.
Does anyone happen to know when this will be possible with equa banks?
