If you write e-mails, you may have noticed that when you enter the first few letters in the recipient field, the system suggests addresses that you do not have in your contacts at all, but you have used them at some point. iOS saves all the email addresses you've sent messages to in the past.

This is a very useful function, especially if you do not want to save some addresses and at the same time save yourself from entering them in the recipient field. However, iOS also remembers those addresses that you entered incorrectly, in addition, how many times you simply do not want to see the given email address. Since they are not in the directory, you can't just delete them, luckily there is a way.

  • Open the Mail app and write a new email.
  • In the recipient field, write the first few letters of the contact you want to delete. If you do not know the exact address, you can try to write one letter.
  • In the list of whispered addresses you will see a blue arrow next to each name, click on it.
  • In the following menu, press the Remove from Recents button. If, on the other hand, you want to save the addressee or assign the address to an existing contact, the menu will also serve this purpose.
  • Done. In this way, you can remove individuals from the list of whispered addresses.
