The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is coming, and with it also government measures that, even though they may seem pointless to some, will affect us all. However, they will most likely affect contact and sociable people, for whom working from home, in addition to the impossibility of meeting more, is more difficult. In today's article, we will look at how to best prepare for working from home and how to be as productive as possible.

Divide your work into several sections

The situation we are going to describe to you is probably familiar to all of you: you start doing some activity, when suddenly you are interested in a video, then you remember that you want to watch an episode of a series, and finally you end up catching the whole series - where is the work engagement over? To avoid these situations, make a system in which, for example, you will work for 20 minutes and devote 5 minutes to something else - for example, videos. However, these intervals must be strictly observed - during working hours, do not focus on notifications and in your spare moments take a walk, play a video, or read an interesting article or a few pages of a book. This compliance is extremely important, don't try to do all the work at once, otherwise you will get bored. The application will help you to concentrate better Be Focused, in which you simply set intervals for work and leisure activities. You can read more in our review of this app - see the link below.

Deactivate unnecessary notifications

At times, it certainly happened to you that you were busy with work, but someone wrote you a message and you immediately started chatting with them, which distracted you from the necessary actions. That's why it's a good idea to turn off all notifications - on Apple products, the easiest way is through the Do Not Disturb mode. On an iPhone or iPad, you can activate it either from control center, or directly in native Settings, where to go to section Do not disturb. On the Apple Watch, you can activate this mode either in Settings or control center. On a Mac, then tap icon in the upper right corner, and then activate Do Not Disturb in the sidebar.

Find an activity that motivates you to study or work

Some users have no problem managing their tasks in silence, others need some distraction. If you are in the second mentioned group, try to realize what fulfills you. Put on some music, make some coffee or tea, or do some exercise when you're done. Each of you will have different activities, but believe me that even such small things will significantly contribute to increasing productivity. You simply have to look forward to the mentioned activities in order to get the job done as quickly as possible and think to yourself "already, already, already, let me have it".

Go for fresh air

Sitting locked up at home all the time is not healthy, neither physically nor psychologically. Therefore, find a short period of time each day, maybe just 30 minutes, for a pleasant walk. If possible, don't focus on work duties. Only handle private calls or don't pay attention to notifications at all. If you lack motivation, try, for example, focusing on meeting sports goals on your Apple Watch, or download an application for measuring kilometers traveled on your iPhone. Relatively high-quality ones include, for example adidas Running App Runtastic. From the name, you might think that this is a software exclusively for runners, but it is not at all.

Communicate with your loved ones

I included this point last in the article, but I personally think it is perhaps the most important. Even though gatherings are currently restricted, neither government entities nor other people can blame you if you regularly meet up with an acquaintance or two. Of course, it is also necessary to devote as much time as possible to the immediate family. If you can't meet someone from family or friends in person, at least call them. I believe that as long as you behave responsibly and observe the measures, then nothing prevents you from having a nice day with your family or friends in a cafe or restaurant.
