As CEO, Tim Cook is the leading face of the Apple brand. During his tenure, Apple has passed through several important milestones, and it can therefore be said that it was Cook who shaped the company into its current form and thus bears a share in its extreme value, which even exceeded 3 trillion dollars. How much can such a director actually earn and how in recent years his salary developed? This is exactly what we will focus on in today's article.

How much does Tim Cook earn

Before we look at the specific numbers, it is necessary to realize that Tim Cook's income does not consist only in an ordinary salary or bonuses. Undoubtedly, the biggest component is the shares he receives as CEO. His basic salary is approximately 3 million dollars per year (over 64,5 million crowns). In this case, however, we are talking about the so-called base, to which various bonuses and share values are added. Although $3 million already sounds like heaven on earth, beware - compared to the rest, this number is more like an icing on the cake.

Thanks to the fact that Apple reports the income of the main representatives every year, we have relatively accurate information about how much Cook actually makes. But at the same time, it is not quite so simple. Once again, we come across the shares themselves, which are recalculated to the value in the given period. This can be seen very well, for example, in his income for the past year 2021. So the basis was a salary worth $3 million, to which were added bonuses for financial and environmental income of the company worth $12 million, followed by reimbursed expenses worth $1,39 million dollars, which includes the cost of personal aircraft, security/security, vacation and other allowances. The last component consists of shares worth an incredible $82,35 million, thanks to which the income of the CEO of Apple in 2021 can be calculated at fabulous 98,7 million dollars or 2,1 billion crowns. However, we have to point out once again that this is not a number that will, so to speak, "clink" on the account of the head of Apple. In such a case, we would have to take into account only the basic salary together with bonuses, which still need to be taxed.

The income of the head of Apple in previous years

If we look a little further into "history", we will see quite similar numbers. The basis is still 3 million dollars, which are subsequently supplemented by bonuses, which are influenced by whether the company (does not) fulfill pre-agreed plans and goals. Cook performed very similarly in 2018, for example, when he received $12 million in bonuses in addition to his base salary (the same as in the previous year). Subsequently, however, it is not entirely clear how many shares he actually acquired at that time. In any case, there is information that their value should have amounted to another 121 million dollars, which makes a total of 136 million dollars - almost 3 billion crowns.

If we ignore the mentioned stocks and look at the income for the previous years, we will see some interesting differences. Tim Cook earned $2014 million in 9,2 and $2015 million the following year (10,28), but the following year his income dropped to $8,7 million. These numbers include bonuses and other compensation in addition to basic wages.
