WWDC23 is fast approaching and of course we are looking forward to what Apple will show us at its developer conference. New operating systems are a certainty, even if we don't know exactly what our devices will teach. There are considerable expectations from the hardware, when a certain revolution is expected. But if Apple really shows it, when will it actually come?

The Worldwide Developers Conference is not one of the most watched when it comes to introducing new hardware. In general, this is expected to outline the future path in the case of software. But here and there Apple surprises and introduces hardware that is somewhat unique. However, the clear exception to everything was last year, which perhaps heralded a new era.

MacBook Pro and MacBook Air

Last year we just got a new 13" MacBook Pro with an M2 chip, as well as a 13" MacBook Air. Both machines were presented on June 6, the first went on sale on June 24, the second only on July 15. By the way, Apple introduced these two MacBook series together in 2017 and even earlier in 2012 or 2009, but all these new products went on sale immediately and without unnecessary waiting.

So it's obvious that if Apple does introduce any MacBooks this year, as is strongly expected, then given the trends of recent years, they won't be available right away, but we'll be waiting a week or so. In the case of the 15" MacBook Air, the same launch window can be expected, after a month from the Keynote itself.

iMac Pro

We have absolutely no hope that we will see him. Apple has historically introduced a single version of it that it no longer sells. This happened on June 5, 2017, but it did not go on sale until December 14. So it was a long wait, because half a year from the show itself is really a long time. Going on sale in such a close pre-Christmas period certainly also had an effect on worse sales.

Mac Pro

Even with the Macy Pro, Apple is taking its time. In 2013, he presented it on June 10, but the machine did not go on sale until December 30. The situation was repeated in 2019, when the current Mac Pro was introduced on June 3 and went on sale on December 10. So if we see a new Mac Pro at this year's WWDC, it can be safely said that the market will also see it at the end of the year.

HomePod

Apple's first smart speaker was introduced on June 5, 2017 and was supposed to be on the market before Christmas of the same year. In the end, it did not work out and the launch was postponed until February 9, 2018. In the case of Apple, it is one of the products of modern history, on which was actually the longest awaited since the show. The 2nd generation HomePod was announced on January 18, 2023 and released on February 3 this year. The wait for the first Apple Watch was quite long, but only in the case of worldwide distribution.

Apple Glasses and AR/VR Headset

If Apple is going to show us an augmented/virtual reality product this year, it's safe to say that we won't be seeing it anytime soon. Quite possibly, the launch will take as long as it was in the case of the Mac Pro, and the end of the year may appear as a realistic date. If there are certain hiccups (which we wouldn't be entirely surprised by), we'll hope to see this company's product on the market within at least a year and a day.
