Already at the moment when Apple presented the iOS 17 operating system at WWDC this June, many people were interested in the so-called Idle mode, which some described as Apple's first attempt to create a smart display. You can enjoy the iOS 17 operating system in its public version for many weeks. Let's now remember together how to use Quiet Mode within it.

If you already had the beta version of iOS 17, you must have noticed that activating Sleep Mode is not difficult. If you want to use Sleep mode, you don't have to do anything other than connect the phone to power and place it in a horizontal position. You can use any charger, whether you connect with a USB-C cable, a MagSafe charging stand, or a Lightning cable for older iPhones. Charging is a necessary condition for activating Sleep Mode in iOS 17. If you have an iPhone with an Always-On display, you will always have the relevant information in your eyes. Although you can activate sleep mode on older models, the display will turn off after a while.

To activate Sleep Mode, start on iPhone Settings -> Sleep mode, where you can activate not only sleep mode as such, but also set the red color of the display in the dark and other details. You can directly with activated Quiet mode edit individual widgets and make further settings and adjustments after long pressing the corresponding element on the display. However, be prepared for the fact that some applications only partially support widgets in Idle Mode. Idle mode also offers support for Live Activities. if you have running application with live activity and go to Sleep mode, an icon will appear at the top. If you tap on the icon, it will go full screen for you to watch. You can also use the Siri assistant in Idle mode.
