Do not disturb mode is used by most of you, for example, at night or at work or school. Once you activate it, all notifications, calls and other notifications that could wake you up or throw you off will be silenced. However, if you are a gamer, you probably also use the Do Not Disturb mode. There is nothing worse than when you accidentally click on an incoming notification while playing a game, which takes you to another application. Several long seconds can pass before you can return to the game, which can be crucial for your played game.

How to set automatic activation of Do Not Disturb mode after starting the game

If you want to set the automatic activation of Do Not Disturb mode on your iPhone after starting the game, it is necessary to use automation. As part of the automations, you can set a certain sequence of actions that will be performed in the event that a certain condition occurs. Proceed as follows:

  • First, you need to go to the native app on your iPhone Abbreviations.
  • Once you've done that, tap on at the bottom of the screen Automation.
  • Then tap on the option Create personal automation (or before that on the + icon at the top right).
  • You will now be on the next screen where you get off below and click the box Application.

  • Next, tap the button in the middle of the screen Add action.
  • Use the search field to search for an event with a name Set Do Not Disturb mode and click on it.
  • The action is added to the task sequence. In the action block, tap the option Turn off, making the action change to Turn on.
  • Then make sure the option is selected at the end of the action until shutdown. If not, set it.
  • Once you've set up the action, tap on at the top right Next.
  • Then the switch deactivate function Ask before starting.
  • A dialog box will appear, press the button Don't ask.
  • Finally, confirm the creation of the automation by tapping on Done at the top right.

So, using the above method, you have successfully set the Do Not Disturb mode to automatically activate after you launch an app, i.e. a game. Do Not Disturb mode will be active until you exit the specific application or game. Once you leave, Do Not Disturb is automatically disabled - so there is no need to create a second automation to disable it. There are countless variations of automation available - in addition to activating Do Not Disturb, for example, you can set the display brightness to 100%, as well as the sound. There are no limits to imagination in automation. If you also use some interesting automation, be sure to let us know about it in the comments.
