Michal Ždanský Obviously, we'll have to wait another year before we can buy music and rent movies in iTunes in addition to apps. However, there is a way to access exclusive content only for certain countries.
That way is to create an American account in iTunes. Because the US account must be linked to a US payment card or US PayPal account, the only way to get paid content is by Gift Card. A Gift Card is a gift card of varying value that you can get in US stores, just like a top-up coupon for your phone. Luckily for us, there are ways to get your hands on these vouchers. This guide will guide you through the entire process from setting up a US account to getting a Gift Card.
Create an account
- Sign out of your existing iTunes account. Click on your email address in the upper right corner and choose Sign out.
- First you need to select a country. You can do this by clicking on the flag in the lower right corner. In the country selection, scroll down and select United States.
- The next step is very important. Choose any free app in the App Store and click the buy button. A login form will appear. Select at the very top Create New Account.
- Fill in all the details (you need to choose a different email than you use for your existing account) and click on Continue.
- In the next screen you will be prompted to choose a payment method, select it none and proceed further.
If you haven't tried buying the app for free before, the option none you wouldn't find in iTunes 10. The procedure must therefore be followed strictly.
- Fill in additional information. We recommend finding the real address, for example in Google Maps or using Fakenamegenerator.com, Apple could check the authenticity of the address.
It is important that the address be in Florida. Florida is one of the few US states that does not tax the purchase of apps from the App Store. If you were to buy from another state, you would pay more for the app than it is actually worth.
- The last step is to verify your email address and you have an account created.
Obtaining a Gift Card
There are several ways to get to the Gift Card, specifically the code that is entered into iTunes. One of them is eBay, the other is specialized sites. However, not all sellers are trustworthy, so for our purpose we will use a proven site that I have personally checked. You must have a PayPal account to purchase.
- Go to www.4saleusa.com
- Left in Category choose iTunes, then select the value of the Gift Card you wish to purchase. We recommend purchasing vouchers of $30 or more, as you will only pay two dollars more.
- Once selected, select the green button Check out at the top right.
- To create an account, enter your email in the appropriate column. It must match the PayPal account you have registered to.
- In the following form, fill in your data, which again must match those specified for the PayPal account.
- The next two pages are just the order recap and the delivery option, where you can still only choose e-mail.
- The last step you after clicking on Pay with PayPal will take you to the PayPal login page. After logging in, you will confirm the payment and once you have done so, you will complete the transaction.
- A confirmation of payment and purchase will be sent to your e-mail.
- You will then receive an e-mail saying that it was not possible to contact you at the number provided on PayPal. It is therefore necessary to confirm your phone number. You can do this by sending an SMS message in the wording "PayPal account confirmation name: [your PayPal login]” and send it to the phone number listed in the header of the message you received from 4saleUSA (001-1-714-280-6299). This step will no longer be necessary for future orders.
- Done. Now all you have to do is wait. You should receive an email with your Gift Card code within 24 hours.
Now go back to iTunes and in the top right v Quick Links choose redeem. Then enter the received Gift Card code in the appropriate field. After confirmation, the amount will be credited to your account and you can happily shop everything that US iTunes has to offer.

5. Fill in the data with an existing US Address

I have a question about that. If I download a game via the US Appstore, specifically I want THPS2, which is not in the CZ Appstore, and then transfer iTunes and iPhone back to the Czech account, does this game sync to iTunes or is it deleted after syncing?

It stays there. Just like a movie you download from US iTunes. However, with the new version it will shout that you are in CZ iTunes and it will transfer you to the US. You update and everything will be OK again.
I clicked NONE, the FAKENAMEGENERATOR generated a Florida name and address and a phone number, filled in all the required data in iTunes, after clicking CONTINUE instead of verifying the email address, it says PLEASE CONTACT ITUNES SUPPORT TO COMPLETE THIS TRANSACTION. Did I do something wrong?

Congratulations, I was at this stage too and thanks to that I "invented" the method I described above. (Google or anything else didn't help me, and I still doubt that the method described here works today).
I have been using this method for a long time and it works without a problem. Apple does not check the address, just enter a city in the USA. There are a lot of sites for buying gift cards, but you always pay a little more than its value.
Maybe back then, when you activated the American iTunes in such a way, it worked without problems, today it doesn't work for me even on the second try. I follow exactly the instructions in the article and after entering "my" US data about name, address and phone number and then clicking Continue, it tells me to contact iTunes support, which is not mentioned in the article at all.
From my own experience, I have not encountered this, I have always been able to create an account using the method described here without any problems.
And when was the last time you tried it? I'll try again later today, if it doesn't work I'll go to Austria and open an account in their bank.
That procedure worked until recently, but it changed during December.
Today I had a friend try it exactly according to our instructions and he said he succeeded without any problems. It is important to choose a free application from the beginning. It also occurs to me that there could be some ZIP code check in the address that should match the selected state. But I'm not sure about that.

You must be lucky to have chosen the right state. When I had an address listed in California, there was usually a few dozen extra cents charged and it was listed as tax.

Gift cards below the price are mostly from stolen credit card numbers. It may then happen that Apple deducts the dollars purchased in this way from your iTunes account and blocks the account. I recommend buying in proven stores, where they are always a few dollars more expensive.

You must have a confirmed paypal account. There should be instructions on how to confirm it on the paypal website. Then just take a screenshot of the confirmed paypal and email it to them as a reply to the one they sent you.

It probably wasn't like that a year ago, but now 4saleusa.com wants you and your photo in which you can see not only you, but also your ID (citizen's card, driver's license) when making a purchase. So, at least for new customers, it will be better to look elsewhere. Because sending them this for a few bucks per card is crazy.
