Adam Kos We can probably agree that the most suitable smart watch for iPhone owners is the Apple Watch. But not everyone has to be satisfied with its functions and options, so there is also a non-negligible percentage of those who will prefer Garmin watches. If yours allows navigation, here you will find how to upload a route to Garmin devices from an iPhone.
You really only need two things for this. The first is the iPhone with the Mapy.cz application (free to download <a href="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1932/8043/files/200721_ODSTOUPENI_BEZ_UDANI_DUVODU__EN.pdf?v=1595428404" data-gt-href-en="https://en.notsofunnyany.com/">here</a>) and Garmin watches that support GPX formats and navigation. We wrote this guide together with the Garmin Forerunner 255 watch model. It doesn't have Topo maps, like the Fénix series, but it can navigate at least on a blind map, so you won't get lost anywhere even with it, even if you can't see your surroundings.

How to upload a route from iPhone to Garmin
We assume that you have a Garmin watch with navigation capabilities, as well as the Garmin Connect app where you have created an account and paired your watch with your iPhone.
- Install and run the Mapy.cz application (free in the App Store).
- Plan your route in the app according to your preferences.
- When you have a route set, drive off her details.
- Scroll down and choose Export.
- Select an application from the share menu Garmin Connect.
- You will then be redirected to the application.
- In her select what type of activity it is (in our case it is tourism).
- Now you will see the route display when you select Done.
- At the top right, under the menu of three dots, put Send to device.
- Select your device and that's it. Now just wait for it to sync and you're good to go.
When you enter a bookmark in the Garmin Connect app More and you choose Training and planning, you can here under the menu Routes manage yours, i.e. even rename them. It is still advisable to know how to actually activate the given route with the option of navigation in the watch.

How to run a route on a Garmin watch
Of course, it depends on which watch model and which options you own. Usually, however, the procedure is very similar, whether it is Forerunners, Fénixes or Vivoactives. give Home activities and select the one you uploaded the route to. In our case, it is about Tourism. Now press the button Up or click on the activity details display (three dots). Choose an offer Navigation and then Routes. Here, just choose the one you want and go on your way.
