The final version of iOS 4.2 brought several new features for all users, but some are reporting problems. Some devices lost music completely after upgrading to a new operating system. iPhones and other devices showed an empty library, but luckily it's not as hot as it looks. The music was not deleted, it was just somehow hidden. If you still haven't solved this problem, read our guide.
The disappearance of all the songs surprised me too, but I didn't panic, tried a few steps and the iPod app on my phone shows what it has again. The procedure is as follows:
- Connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes.
- In the left panel, open the connected iPhone and select music.
- Play any song from your iPhone in iTunes.
- Sync again.
- Open the iPod application and wait for the library to update.

It works perfectly according to the instructions :-)
Well thank you.
Hi, I happily go to Prague, get on the subway, plug in my headphones and nothing! Nothing helped in Paladek at the stand and nothing helped in Isyle either. At home, according to the advice, I did an unwanted restore and it's good. Nobody would have thought of this.
Thank you very much for the advice.
It worked for me without playing a song, I just connected the iPod to the Macbook, synced and the music was back.
I have a new pc. So I don't have anything in itunes, how can I do it so I don't lose it?
If you have a new computer, then nothing will probably help you. You will have to authorize it for synchronization, and then you will not be able to get music from the iPhone in iTunes. If you can synchronize, the music should remain. But if you update to a higher version, it will be deleted. I accidentally deleted 9GB of music like this and had to create a new library on a new PC and synchronize again.
Yes, it scared me, but after resynchronization, the music was back, however, the albums that I did not buy through the US Store are missing in the booked preview. I put in an artist and there is nothing there. A complete restore would probably help, but I don't want to do that right now, you have no advice on how to get this back.

I need some advice. I'm probably completely dumb, but I didn't understand what I should do from the answers. My problem is that I got a new comp and I'm a bit worried about syncing with itunes. I dragged all the library from the old to the new, but what next?
Thanks in advance for the advice
