If you are one of the regular readers of our magazine, then a few days ago you certainly did not miss the presentation of the highly anticipated MagSafe Battery Pack, i.e. the MagSafe battery. In case you missed the introduction of this accessory, you should know that it is an external battery that can be clipped to the back of iPhone 12 (and later) using MagSafe technology. The MagSafe battery is a direct successor to the Smart Battery Case, with which you could simply charge some older iPhones. The difference, however, is that the Smart Battery Case is a cover with a battery that you put on the iPhone, while the MagSafe Battery Pack is just an external battery with magnets.

How to find out the firmware version on a MagSafe battery

We have already covered the MagSafe Battery Pack in several articles, in which we told you the important things. However, some news will surface only as soon as the product reaches the hands of the first customers. As in the case of AirPods, for example, the MagSafe Battery Pack has firmware, i.e. a kind of simple operating system. This determines how the accessory should behave and, possibly, thanks to it, Apple can make new functions available in the future. If you would like to find out what firmware version your MagSafe battery has, just proceed as follows:

• First, it is necessary that your They took the MagSafe Battery Pack and clipped it onto the back of the iPhone.
• Next, on your iPhone, go to the native app Settings.
• Once you have done so, move to the section titled In general.
• Then, in the upper part of the screen, click on the box with the name Information.
• Then go down a bit below, where locate and click on the row MagSafe Battery Pack.
