How to change the position of an iPad connected via Sidecar on a Mac

If your work tools also include a Mac, you probably have an external monitor connected to it to expand your desktop. In addition to classic monitors, you can also use the iPad to extend the desktop of your Mac, through the native Sidecar feature. This feature has been available since macOS 10.15 Catalina and makes it easy to use your iPad as a second monitor. To activate Sidecar, all you have to do is bring your iPad close to your Mac, then tap the AirPlay icon in the top bar and finally select your iPad here. However, the layout of the screens may not be exactly to your liking after the first connection.

How to change the position of an iPad connected via Sidecar on a Mac

If you first connected an iPad to your Mac via the Sidecar function in order to use it as a second monitor, then the native layout of the screens may not suit you completely. While you want to have the iPad, for example, on the left, the system may think that you have it on the right (and vice versa) , which of course is not ideal at all. To change the position of the iPad connected via Sidecar, proceed as follows:

The position of all other monitors that are available can also be changed in exactly the same way.
