With the arrival of the new macOS Monterey operating system, we have seen countless new features that are definitely worth it. In our magazine, we have been covering all the news from this mentioned system for several long months and we are still not finished, which only confirms the fact that there are really countless of them. For example, we have already shown everything important from the new Focus mode, we also looked at the new options in FaceTime or the Live Text function. However, we also saw changes in other native applications, such as Notes.

How to view activity history in Notes on Mac

The native Notes application is used not only on the Mac, but probably by all of us. It is the ideal note-taking application for all Apple lovers, as it simply works perfectly in conjunction with all your Apple devices. In addition to the fact that you can simply write down all the notes for yourself, you can of course also share them with other users, which can come in handy in some situations. However, until recently, you couldn't see user activity within a shared note, so it was impossible to see who made what edits. But the good news is that in macOS Monterey you can now view the complete activity history in Notes, as follows:

  • First, you need to go to the native application on your Mac Comment.
  • Once you've done that, in the left part of the window click a specific note, where you want to view the activity.
  • Then, in the upper right corner of the window, click on user icon with whistle.
  • Then a small window will appear in which you click on the box View all activity.
  • V right part of the screen will then be displayed note activity history panel.
  • For display changes from a specific day it's enough for you to selected record tapped, thereby highlighting the changes.

Thus, through the above procedure, it is possible to view the activity history in Notes on Mac. If there have been any changes to the selected note since you last opened it, you can simply view them by clicking Show Updates after pressing the user icon with a whistle. You can also use alternative procedures to view the activity history - either you can click on the tab Display in the top bar, and then select View notes activity, Alternatively, you can use a keyboard shortcut Control + Command + K.
