Part of virtually all Apple devices is iCloud Keychain, which contains all saved passwords to your user accounts. Thanks to Keychain on iCloud, you can forget about remembering passwords, as well as thinking them up and keeping them safe. If you use the Keychain, you can log in to practically any account by using the password to the user profile, or using biometrics, i.e. Touch ID or Face ID. When creating a new profile, Klíčenka can automatically generate a strong password that you can use. Best of all, all passwords sync across all your Apple devices.

How to share saved passwords via AirDrop on Mac

Until recently, you had to use the native Keychain app on Mac to view all your saved passwords. Although this application is functional, it is unnecessarily complicated for the average user. Apple decided to change this and in macOS Monterey came up with a new simple interface for displaying all passwords, which resembles the same interface from iOS or iPadOS. In addition to the fact that you can easily view all passwords on your Mac in this interface, you can also share them securely with all users nearby via AirDrop. If you would like to find out how, just follow these steps:

  • First, you need to click on the top left on your Mac icon .
  • Once you do so, select an option from the menu that appears System Preferences…
  • This will open a new window with all available sections for managing preferences.
  • In this window, locate and click on the section that bears the name Passwords.
  • Subsequently, you must authorize yourself, either by entering a password or using Touch ID.
  • After authorization in the left part of the window locate and open the entry with the password, which you want to share.
  • Next, you need to click on in the right part of the window share button (square with an arrow).
  • A new window will open with the AirDrop function interface, where it is enough tap on user, with whom you want to share the password.

Through the above procedure, it is therefore possible to easily share passwords with other users on a Mac within macOS Monterey, with the help of AirDrop. As soon as you send the password via AirDrop, information will appear on the user's device that you want to share the password with them. It is then only up to the person in question whether he accepts the password or not. Some of you might be wondering if there is another way to share passwords - the answer is no. On the other hand, you can at least copy the password, just right-click on the password and select Copy password.
