Almost all of us know this situation. You want to show someone a funny photo, you lend the phone to the person in question and they suddenly start looking through the entire gallery. However, we often have photos on our iPhone that we don't want to share with anyone, let alone show them to anyone. There are apps that let you choose just a few photos to show the person. But why download an app when a similar function is directly part of the iOS operating system? In today's guide, we will therefore show you how to set up so that anyone who picks up your iPhone can only see the photos that you allow them to see.

All settings will revolve around a feature called Assisted Access. After activating this function, you can simply disable certain options of your device - for example, disable the buttons, keyboard, or touch. And just deactivating the touch will help us to prohibit the display of additional photos in the gallery. Once we've completed the setup process, all you have to do is press the side button three times (or the home button on older iPhones), touch the screen, and it will automatically set itself to not respond to any other touch until you unlock it again. So how to properly set up Assisted Access?

Assisted Access settings

On your iPhone or iPad, move to the native app Settings. Then click here In general and select an option Disclosure. Then get off below and open the box Assisted Access. After activation, do not forget to use the switch activate possibility Acronym for accessibility. Activating Accessibility Shortcuts will ensure that Assisted Access will be activated after triple-clicking the side (home) button. So you won't have to go to the settings every time. On the same screen, click on the option again Code setting. Here, choose whether you want to turn off Assisted Access with Face ID or touch ID, or you want to use classic castle. With this function, you guarantee that your friend will not be able to turn off Assisted Access by himself. All you need is your face, finger, or the code you choose. You can then exit the settings.

Deactivating touch (and others)

On your iPhone three times press in succession side (domestic) button. If a menu appears at the bottom of the screen, click on the option Assisted Access. You then need to configure which features you want in Assisted Access deactivate. In the lower left corner, click the option Elections. Use the switch here to disable the option Touch, or choose other preferences that you want to enable or not. Then click on Done. You only need to do this procedure once, after which the iPhone will remember it.

How to lock a photo

After you go to the app Fotky, then find the photo you want to show your friend. After that three times click on side (domestic) button, select from the menu Assisted Access, and then just select Run in the upper right corner. After that, when your friend returns the phone to you, it's enough again three times press side (domestic) button, authorize and Assisted Access End.

Using this procedure, you can very easily specify the exact photo for your friend to look at. Assisted access prevents it from moving around your device in any way. Unfortunately, this feature has one flaw in its beauty. You cannot show a friend multiple photos at once. You must choose only one at a time. If you want to show more of them, it is necessary that you use some applications, or the Presentation function, and then activate assisted access.
