The days of using a pad of paper to jot down notes are long gone for most people. Currently, we already use applications for this - for example, native Notes, or, of course, it is possible to use third-party applications. Apple itself is constantly trying to improve this app as part of system updates and comes with great features that can come in handy. In the past, if you wanted to quickly jot down anything in the Notes app, you had to unlock your iPhone, go into the app, create a new note, and start typing. However, this procedure is quite lengthy, especially if you need to write something down as quickly as possible.

How to Create a Note from Lock Screen on iPhone

However, relatively recently, the Notes app has included an option that allows you to easily and quickly create a note directly from the lock screen, which can come in handy in certain situations where you need to jot down something quickly. To quickly create a note from virtually anywhere, including the lock screen, just use the control center to add the appropriate element. Here's how to add an option to quickly write a note:

  • First, you need to go to the native app on your iPhone Settings.
  • Once you've done that, go down a notch below, where then unclick the box Control Center.
  • This will take you to the control center editing interface, where you can scroll down Dolu to the category Additional controls.
  • Find an element within this category Comment, for which tap on the + button.
  • Then this element will be added to the control center. You can do more drag to change the position of this element.
  • Subsequently, all you have to do is to go anywhere in the system, even on the locked screen, moved to control center:
    • iPhone with Touch ID: swipe up from the bottom edge of the display;
    • iPhone with Face ID: swipe down from the top right edge of the display.
  • Then, in the control center, find and tap the element Comment, which we have added here.
  • Now already you will find yourself directly in the new notes interface, in which you can write what you need.
  • Once you've written down everything you need, just tap the button in the top right All done.

So, using the above procedure, it is possible to quickly and easily create a new note on your iPhone. Thanks to this procedure, it is not necessary to unlock the iPhone and go to the Notes app to write anything down. Once you move to the new note interface using the above procedure, after saving, this note will be saved in the classic way as a new one in the native Notes application. If you create a new note using the above procedure and then want to quickly view all existing notes, just tap on the appropriate option at the top left. However, if you created the note from the locked screen without authorization, it will of course be necessary to unlock the iPhone first.
