The world's smartphone manufacturers are constantly competing to come up with a better camera. For example, Samsung goes for it primarily with numbers - some lenses of its flagships offer a resolution of several tens or hundreds of megapixels. The values may look great on paper or during a presentation, but in reality every ordinary user is only interested in how the resulting image looks. Such Apple has been offering lenses with a maximum resolution of 12 megapixels in its flagships for several years, but despite this, it traditionally ranks first in the world rankings of mobile camera tests. With the iPhone 11, Apple also introduced Night Mode, which makes it possible to create great images even in the dark or in low-light conditions.

How to disable automatic Night Mode on iPhone in Camera

Night mode is always activated automatically on a supported iPhone when there is not enough light. However, this activation is not suitable in all cases, because sometimes we simply do not want to use Night mode to capture a photo. This means we have to manually turn off the mode, which may take a few seconds during which the scene may change. The good news is that in iOS 15 we can finally set Night Mode not to activate automatically. The procedure is as follows:

  • First, go to the native app on your iPhone Settings.
  • Once you do, get off below, where you click the section Camera.
  • Subsequently, in the first category, find and open the line with the name Keep settings.
  • Here using a switch activate possibility Night mode.
  • Then go to the native app Camera.
  • Finally, the classic way turn off Night Mode.

If you disable Night Mode by default, it will only stay off until you exit the Camera app. As soon as you return to the Camera, automatic activation will be set again as needed. The method above will ensure that if you manually disable Night Mode, the iPhone will remember that choice and Night Mode will still be off after exiting and restarting Camera. Of course, if you activate the mode manually, the iPhone will remember this option and it will be active after switching to the Camera again.
