What to do if the procedure does not work?

First of all, it should be noted that this procedure (most likely) only works on the second developer beta version of iOS and iPadOS 14. If you have the first developer beta version, picture in picture on YouTube probably won't work for you. If you have the second developer beta installed, you may not have picture-in-picture enabled. In this case, just go to Settings -> General -> Picture in Picture, where make sure you have a radio button next to the option Automatically picture in picture switched to active positions. If the above procedure still does not work for you, then restart the device. If it doesn't work even after that, you'll probably have to wait for the next update. Anyway, it should be noted that YouTube always tries to prevent you from playing the video or screen in the background.
