The native Contacts app is an integral part of every iPhone. It includes all kinds of business cards of people with whom we communicate in some way. Business cards have long been used not only to record name and phone number, but also e-mail, address, company and many others. In terms of modifications and improvements, the Contacts app has been unchanged for years, which was definitely a shame. But the good news is that there was a breakthrough in iOS 16, where native Contacts received many great new features and improvements. In our magazine, we will of course cover them gradually so that you can start using them and possibly simplify your operation.

How to export all contacts to iPhone

One of the new features that we have seen in Contacts from iOS 16 is the option to completely export all contacts. Until now, we could only do this using third-party applications, which may not have been ideal, especially from the point of view of privacy protection. Exporting all contacts can be useful in several situations - for example, if you want to back them up yourself, or if you would like to upload them somewhere or share them with anyone. So, to create a file with all contacts, follow these steps:

  • First, go to the native app on your iPhone Contacts.
    • Alternatively, you can open the app Phone and down to the section Contact to move.
  • Once you've done so, tap the button in the top left corner < Lists.
  • This will bring you to the section with all available contact lists.
  • Up here then hold your finger on the list All contacts.
  • This will bring up a menu where you tap on an option Export.
  • Finally, the sharing menu will open, where all you need is contacts impose, or to share.

So, in the above way, it is possible to easily export all the contacts on your iPhone, to VCF business card format. In the sharing menu, you can then choose whether you want the file share to a specific person through an application, or you can save to Files, and then continue to work with her. In any case, contacts from other created contact lists can also be exported in exactly the same way, which can be useful. And if you would like to choose which contacts you want to include before sharing or saving, just tap on the sharing menu under the name of the list (All contacts) filter fields, where a selection can be made.
