If you connect an external keyboard to the iPad, it suddenly becomes a completely different device. In addition to being able to write more comfortably, you will also activate some hidden keyboard shortcuts that often resemble those we use on the Mac. You can also use several such shortcuts to capture a screenshot without lifting a single finger from the keyboard. So you don't need to press the home button together with the top button to turn off/on the iPad unnecessarily with the keyboard connected and the iPad in landscape mode. So what are the keyboard shortcuts you can use?

Command + Shift + 3

Pressing this shortcut on a Mac will take a screenshot of the entire screen, or all screens if you have multiple screens connected. If you press this keyboard shortcut on an iPad, practically the exact same thing will happen. It will be created a screenshot of everything on the iPad screen and the resulting image is then saved to the application Fotky.

Command + Shift + 4

If you activate this keyboard shortcut in macOS, you will get into the screenshot mode of only a certain part of the desktop or a certain window. But it's different on the iPad. As soon as you press this hotkey, it will be created again full screen shot. But in this case, it will not be saved in the photo library, but will immediately open in the application Annotation. In this application, you can instantly take a screenshot in various ways edit. Then of course you can impose, or to share within an application.

At the end of this article, I would like to share one interesting piece of information with you. Some keyboards even have one of their keys set to capture the screen. Most often, the screenshot is located on the F4 key, but different keyboards may have different key layouts. Therefore, first try to look around the keyboard and if the key for creating a screenshot is not there, you can use the keyboard shortcuts listed above.
