If you follow the events in the Apple world, you certainly did not miss the release of public versions of new operating systems last week. In addition to iOS, iPadOS and tvOS 14, we also got the new watchOS 7, which comes with great news and features. In addition to the native option for sleep analysis, together with the hand washing notification, other less visible news have also been added, but they are definitely worth it. In this case, we can mention, for example, the option with which you can finally separately set an exercise goal and a standing goal in addition to the movement goal on the Apple Watch. Let's see how to do it together in this article.

How the goal of movement, exercise and standing has changed on Apple Watch

If you want to specifically change the goal of movement, exercise and standing on your Apple Watch, it is not complicated. Just follow this procedure:

  • First, of course, you need to have your Apple Watch updated to WATCH 7.
  • If you meet this condition, press on the home screen digital crown.
  • Once you do so, you will find yourself in the list of applications, in which look for a open application Activity.
  • Here it is then necessary for you to move the screen towards left – then drive over swipe across the screen from left to right.
  • After you are on the left screen, go down completely down.
  • At the very bottom you will then come across a button change goals which you tap.
  • Now the pro interface will open changing goals:
    • Set yours up first moving target (red color) and tap on Next;
    • then set yours exercise goal (green color) and tap on Next;
    • finally set yours standing goal (blue color) and tap on OKAY.

In this way, you simply set an individual movement goal, along with an exercise goal and a standing goal, on your Apple Watch. In older versions of watchOS, you could only set a motion target, which of course many users didn't like. So it's definitely nice that Apple satisfied the users in this case. On the other hand, it is a huge shame that we have seen the removal of Force Touch from all Apple Watches, following the pattern of 3D Touch from the iPhone. Force Touch was a great feature in my opinion, but unfortunately we won't be doing much with it and will have to adapt.
