Apple's sophisticated product ecosystem is one of the reasons why it pays to own multiple devices from the company. They communicate with each other in an exemplary manner and save your time when you need it. Therefore, it is not a problem to continue the work you started on the iPhone, on the Mac and vice versa. Easily send the contents of your mailbox from one device to another. Whether it's a block of text or an image or other data you've cut or copied on your iPhone, you can paste it on your Mac, but also on another iPhone or iPad. This universal Apple mailbox works with all devices that you have logged in under the same Apple ID. The devices in question must be connected to Wi-Fi and within Bluetooth range, i.e. at least 10 meters away. It is therefore necessary to have this function turned on as well as to have Handoff activated.

How to transfer data in clipboard between iPhone and Mac

  • Find the content, which you want to copy to iPhone.
  • Hold your finger on it, before you see the menu.
  • Choose Take out or Copy.
  • On a Mac select a location, where you want to insert the content.
  • Press Command + V for insertion.

Of course, it also works the other way around, i.e. if you want to copy content from your Mac to your iPhone. In iOS, you can also copy selected content by pinching three fingers on the display. The extraction will take place when you repeat this gesture twice. Use the three-finger spread gesture to insert content. These are faster shortcuts than hitting your chest on the offers. But keep in mind that there should not be too much time between extracting or copying and pasting. However, Apple doesn't say what time it is. It is therefore likely that the device deletes the clipboard when the operating memory is full.
