This article is something special - it is the 1500th published article on the Jablíčkář.cz website, and we would like to celebrate it properly with you, our loyal readers. And what better way to celebrate than with a competition just for you.
The history of Jablíčkář dates back to 2008. He was a university student at the time Jan Zdarsa founded his own Apple magazine and the first article on this server saw the light of day on October 12, 2008. Since then, 2,5 years have passed, during which Honza and other editors who gradually joined the Jablíčkáře team wrote one and a half thousand reviews, instructions, reports, news, reflections and other articles.
And now from the mouth of the founder Honza Zdarsa himself:
I haven't been an Apple user that long. About ten years ago, I first worked more with Mac OS, but I couldn't get the hang of it. I was not interested in Apple until quite a few years later, when in the summer of 2007 I was able to touch the first iPhone in the USA. I didn't buy it right away, but I fell in love with the iPod Touch. But after a while I thought that the iPhone might not be bad at all, so I had an extra gadget.
Some time later I couldn't do it and I had to buy my first Macbook and thanks to that the Jablíčkář.cz server was created. It was a blog of a Mac OS user exploring the possibilities of this system and looking for the best Mac applications. I soon found that there were more of us like that and the traffic slowly started to grow. After a few months, the traffic was in the hundreds, and a mini-community of great readers was forming around the server, who liked to comment on my articles and add their tips.
Thanks to the iPhone and the better pricing policy of local retailers, the popularity of Apple products began to grow significantly, and so did Jablíčkář. The frequency of articles here increased, more editors started contributing, and the blog slowly became an Apple magazine. This also increased the time required for maintenance, while my time options decreased significantly. And so it was necessary to pass on the scepter so that the quality of the server did not suffer.
Under the leadership of the new owner, Jablíčkář continues to flourish, it has added new faces to its team of editors, and thanks to their excellent daily work, we can celebrate this jubilee. With such a pace of development, we will not have to wait long and we will celebrate the contribution with the number 2000. I wish the Jablíčkář server much success and, above all, as many satisfied readers as possible!
Jan Zdarsa
We will continue to try to bring you updates from the world of Apple, reviews of applications and games for Mac, various useful guides, simply everything you like to read here. If you feel that you are missing some things on Jablíčkář or you would like certain articles to appear more, share it with us in the comments, which by the way you have already written over 15 during the existence of Jablíčkář.
And finally, the promised competition for you. There will be a competition for three promo codes for Czech navigation Dynavix, whose review we brought you yesterday. Just answer a simple question and fill out the short form below. We thank you, our readers, for your patronage and we will look forward to more and more jubilees with you, the "two thousandth" is slowly approaching...
The contest has ended
Congratulations on the round number!
To take advantage of it right away, I would have two caveats:
This article in particular has quite a problem when reading it on an iPhone, or the competitive part. It is not possible to specify the entire competition question, after sending the answer, some choices are also hidden and unavailable. I sometimes build such things here.
Second disclaimer - I'm certainly not the only one who dislikes certain ads on this website. Nothing against ads (quite a bit), but this one is really too much - it's probably a square in flash. If I use the battery on my Macbook, then I deliberately avoid this website, because it literally drains my battery, overheats the Macbook and bothers me with noise. When I go from the network, I stay here only minimally, because the heating and the blowing of the fan just bothers me. I started going to the apple store rather from the iPhone, where this problem does not exist - glory. But presto - is this necessary? Couldn't something be done with that ad? Others have already complained about it, so please think about it and post your comment here.
Hello.
Ad: 1/ It is related to the fact that we use Google technology for the competition. We will try to do something about it.
2/ The content of the apple store is prepared for you by a team of volunteers. Advertising on our website is unfortunately annoying for you (the reader), but a necessity for us. Server operation, domain - it costs some money. And not even advertising revenue will cover them.
Sure, I'll take that, I'm just concerned with the fact that this particular advertisement puts an excessive load on the computer. If she wasn't so demanding, I wouldn't mind.
The ad also bothers me.. on my macbook pro it's just barely scrolling the apple website.. it's terrible.. when I scroll down, it scrolls beautifully.. try to change it to some other format..
Also, the ad brutally hacked me on Safari and mined MB. Since I like 14205.w5.wedos.net and read it daily, Extension AdBlock has really proven itself. Since I also understand it from the other side (as the operator of several websites), I only set flash restrictions there.
How about trying Plugin Blocker Safari Extension? :) Works to your satisfaction, flash on demand...
Oh well, it made me look into those Safari Extensions, I never looked into that. I was surprised how much useful there was to find, so thanks for the heads up. ;-) However, the one whose ad should be displayed here is now out of luck. :-)
Congratulations, what about the attendance, are you bragging?
Compared to last year, we have double the number of visitors. Every month, our traffic grows by 5% or more.
Hello,
thanks for your feedback.. I'll go straight to the ad. Lately, I have noticed the same thing, that flash advertising is increasingly burdening the web and we are ready to tame flash advertising. However, the campaigns that are already contracted must catch up as they are now.
As for attendance, we are very satisfied. We would like to add specific numbers.. for example for the last 30 days..

Another article without mentioning the price of the product. You have to be especially careful here, because this is simply a paid advertisement by the manufacturer, and in such a case it is certainly a trick to cover up shortages, product defects, etc.
Dear Chris,
I read your older posts. You still don't like something, but that's your point of view and I won't take it away from you.
So I will mention it especially for you: if you win the navigation, you will get a promo code and you will have it for free. You won't pay anything.
If you have any comments about the navigation review, direct them under the correct article.
We should be especially wary of such scams and tricks as the paid advertising of the manufacturer.
After buying an iPhone 3G, I gradually started to read occasional links from my friends who also owned an iPhone, both on my fb and on my twitter. However, it wasn't until I was looking for some proper reviews, news and interesting things that I started looking for websites, especially Czech ones, that could fully satisfy my curiosity. I know I'm just a beginner considering I only own one Apple device and that's an "i" Device. Nevertheless, I find many interesting articles here, I visit the website regularly, and honestly, it makes the class very pleasant in some boring classes in the auditorium. And that's mainly because the articles, unlike the hours, are not boring!
This year I started following on my "social accounts" both this site and also http://www.iphonetips.cz a http://www.superapple.cz but anyway. Of course, I also use foreign websites to monitor websites about Apple, but especially for setting up and using Czech devices, they cannot always be used to their full potential. But can any of these other Czech websites boast such an imaginative picture in the summary in Apple Week? And maybe some time in the future, other young, capable young people will appear to help you if you happen to need someone at the keyboard, if they like to write and not for money. In that case, it is not writing in the true sense of the word. Therefore, we, the readers, can only thank you for working in your free time and for enjoying it!
Although I have to sort out the articles mainly on iDevices and I won't use them much for using Mac computers, I'm still very satisfied.
I congratulate you on this nice jubilee and I believe that you will continue to be as attentive, active, still in good mood and excellent writing group about the company Apple, as you have been so far. And the fact that sometimes there is an error somewhere or that some readers are annoyed by advertising is no longer such a big burden.
I hope that in the future there will be more products with a bitten apple in my collection so that I can read your website to the fullest.
Thank you once again
Jan Pražák
Congratulations!
When I bought an iPhone 3G less than two years ago, which I still own to this day, and I only read articles about Apple on foreign websites, I also occasionally looked at Czech websites that write about similar things and most importantly: they follow the development of Apple products for localization in the Czech Republic. I found the 3 most interesting:
1) http://www.14205.w5.wedos.net
2) http://www.iphonetips.cz
3) http://www.superapple.cz
I liked Jablíčkář because of its simplicity, iphonetips because they sometimes write about a different topic than Jáblíčkář and superapple, which sometimes brings a piece of history with the functioning of products, company development or other information.
Nevertheless, I know that as the owner of only one iDevice I can't jump out and I'm only a beginner in this field, nevertheless I very much enjoy reading your website and I believe that there is a lot of work and hard work behind it, and that's just for the sake of providing us, the readers, with engaging way interesting reading. We can only thank you warmly for that. The main thing is that you do it voluntarily, most often in your free time, and sometimes the occasional negative comment can spoil your joy, if it is not offensive and just intrusive :D
And if at some point in the future you happen to need a pair of handy 10 fingers, I believe you will definitely turn to your readers. Perhaps a few skilled hands can be found among them.
Personally, I plan to buy some other devices with a bitten apple in the future so that I can read your website in full quality and not skip articles that are sometimes only related to Mac computers. However, I read the others, especially regarding iPhone applications and news, regularly and I am glad that I discovered your website and could start reading regularly. I especially enjoy reading it during boring lectures. Unlike lectures, articles are never boring!
Well, thanks to you for all of that.
Jan Pražák
I have only one question: do you have a character limit for adding a comment?
I wrote a long thank-you comment, but after reloading the page, the browser did not display it (tested in Google Chrome and Safari). Don't know where the error happened?
Thanks for the reply

Our filter has rated you as spam :-). But everything is fixed now.
Thank you, we are pleased with the words of praise, we will try to continue to please our esteemed readership.
Yes, I already noticed that…I ended up coming here more times than I wanted to :D
We look forward
"Apple seller celebrates 1500th article and gives away 3x Dynavix navigation", writes the server, which focuses exclusively on apple, If only iPod touch or nano....... :/
The navigation is intended for iPhone (it is only software, not a complete HW solution), so what don't you think?
you are a good Mongolian :D
Mighty useful. Make no mistake, I appreciate it.
You will never please everyone, there will always be some dissatisfied individual. I've been following Applejack since the beginning, even though I don't sign up here anymore. That's why I join in the congratulations, and I wish the team around Jablíčkař many good articles.
