A painting by Steve Jobs appeared in a Syrian refugee camp (December 11)

The widely respected street art artist Banksy left a painting of Steve Jobs in a refugee camp in Calais, France. The Apple co-founder is depicted on one wall in his classic turtleneck with blue jeans, holding a Macintosh computer in one hand and a full sack slung over his shoulder in the other. With the painting, Banksy wants to draw attention to the Syrian origin of Jobs - his father, Abdulfattah Jandali, grew up in the Syrian city of Homs and went to the United States to study at university. He later fathered Steve Jobs with the American Joanna Schiebl, but since Schiebl's parents did not want the girl to marry a Muslim, little Jobs was adopted by a surrogate family. Banksy says he wants to point out that the United States now gets $7 billion in taxes from Apple every year because they took in a young man from Homs.

Tesla makes iPhone cases from scrap cars (11/12)

The Tesla Model S car has become a huge hit, and the pioneering automaker now produces up to 50 models a year, which means more material used and inevitably more waste. But Tesla came up with an interesting solution - from the remaining pieces of leather that were not used for seat covers, they started making iPhone cases. For $45, you can buy a leather case for the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, and for five dollars more, Tesla will add a credit card holder to it. The iPhone case is not the only product for which Tesla uses excess leather - the company's offer includes, for example, a handbag.

iPhone 6S was the most searched on Google (16/12)

As usual, Google has published a ranking of the most searched terms of the past year, and the iPhone 6S came out on top in the category of technological devices. It thus beat the Samsung Galaxy S6, which finished in second place, but Apple products also occupy third place with the Apple Watch and fourth place with the iPad Pro. The ranking, which includes search terms from all over the world, then placed the LG G4 phone or the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet in the other top ten places. It is interesting to see the results in individual countries, for example in Canada the iPhone 6S completely disappears from the ranking and the first place takes a Blackberry with a PRIV phone.
