New Macs Are Not Coming and Their Sales Are Falling (11/10)

As the global PC market experiences a decline in sales, Apple saw a 13,4 percent drop in its latest quarter compared to last year. While the California-based company sold 2015 million Macs in the same period in 5,7, this year there were only 5 million. Apple remained in fifth place in the global market share rankings, but leader Lenovo also saw a drop in sales. On the other hand, sales of HP, Dell and Asus, which are placed ahead of Apple in the ranking, increased by an average of 2,5 percent. Similarly, Apple did well in the United States, where sales fell to 2,3 million from 2 million computers sold. Aside from the 12-inch MacBook with Retina, Apple hasn't introduced any new computers this year, and the numbers above confirm that it's about time.

Tim Cook played Super Mario on his iPhone while visiting Japan (12/10)

Tim Cook continues his visit to East Asia, where he arrived in Japan and greeted residents there with a message of "good morning" in Japanese on Twitter. A little later, he then shared a photo at the Nintendo Center, where he was able to play the iPhone version of Super Mario exclusively, a few weeks before its official release on iOS. Apple will open a research and development center in Shenzhen, China (October 12)

Even before Tim Cook arrived in Japan, however, the Apple director appeared in Shenzhen, China, where he plans to build a research and development center. This will be the second after the recently announced center in Beijing, China. The two centers are said to be unique in their proximity to iPhone manufacturers and also to offer special programs for local universities. In the last quarter, Apple's revenue from China fell by 33 percent, a painful statistic after Apple spent a lot of effort to expand its brand in the country.

Apple Pay has also expanded to New Zealand (12.)

Apple continues to slowly roll out its Apple Pay service around the world - New Zealand is the latest country to accept iPhone payments. However, the service there is very limited - only ANZ bank was able to reach an agreement with Apple, and only users with a Visa card will have access to it. Other New Zealand banks did not want to adapt the service mainly because of the fee that Apple demands from each transaction. It will be possible to pay via Apple Pay, for example, at McDonald's or a K-Mart store, but transactions are limited by an 80-dollar threshold, after which users must enter a PIN.

The flagship Apple Store on Regent Street has opened in a new form (15/10)

Apple opened one of its most important stores in Europe on Saturday after a year of renovations. The London Apple Store on Regent Street received a similar design, which the San Francisco one is proud of, for example, and hints at the future of Apple Stores. Apple chose its so-called "urban" design for the store, which is dominated by living trees in the middle of a spacious hall. According to Jony Ive, Apple was mainly concerned with preserving the historical value of the building, but at the same time opening the spaces to daylight. Last week, Angela Ahrendts showed journalists around the new store and reminded that this very location was the first Apple store in Europe, opened in 2004.

A week in a nutshell

Last week we went with the iPhone 7 Plus they looked to Mách's lake. Apple Issued an advertisement on Apple Music that serves as a guide to using the service. The adaptation of iOS 10 is slower than last year with iOS 9 and the Apple Watch measures heart rate from trackers most accurately, but they are not 100% accurate.
