Another Apple Store in China and Turkey, a Watch better than a Rolex, an Indian wedding captured only by an iPhone and a garden bridge in London finally without the involvement of Apple…

The 33rd Apple Store has already opened in China, the third will be in Turkey (January 24)

Apple Store number 30 opened in China on Saturday, January 33. The brick-and-mortar store is located in the port city of Qingdao in the upscale MixC shopping mall (pictured below), which is the largest in China. In MixC there are over 400 fashionable shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment facilities, including a roller coaster. MixC also features an Olympic-sized ice rink and the most expensive movie theater in China. The Apple Store can easily find its customers here.

A new Apple Store is also planned in Turkey, where, however, only the third Apple store should open. According to the latest news, Apple is set to locate its store in Istanbul's Emaar Square Mall (pictured below), which is still under construction. When it opens, it will offer almost 500 shops and restaurants or a hotel. The two Apple Stories in Turkey so far opened in 2014.

Apple Watch beat Rolex in the battle of luxury brands (January 27)

Analytical firm NetBase measured how often people mention and are satisfied with various luxury brands on social media during 2014 and 2015 (more than 700 million posts were examined), and the watch category was dominated by the Apple Watch. Their success is all the greater because they were the only smart watch in the category and fought with brands like Rolex (which they dethroned), Tag Heuer, Richemont, Curren or Patek Philippe.

A week in a nutshell
