Tim Cook and Eddy Cue Reappear at Sun Valley Conference (30/6)
Apple executives rarely appear at conferences in Silicon Valley, where the most important figures from the tech world often gather. One of the few conferences that Tim Cook and, since last year, Eddy Cue have been attending regularly, is the one in Sun Valley in the US state of Idaho. Both gentlemen should participate again this year and will thus converse with other giants such as Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates or Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. According to reporters from Re/code magazine, the conference organizers are hoping that Cook and Cue could bring Apple newcomer Jimmy Iovine with them. However, it will be difficult to find out what kind of agreements will be reached in Sun Valley.

Apple ended AIM support for .mac and .me addresses (2/7)
Earlier this year, Apple announced that it would end support for AIM chat accounts with me.com and mac.com IDs for all users running OS X 30 and earlier on June 10. But AIM users have experienced problems both in newer versions of the system and in third-party applications. Unfortunately, Apple has not yet commented on this problem, so it is not certain when users of new OS versions will be able to use this service again.

It is said that Microsoft will also come with its smart bracelet this year (July 2)
It seems that a device from Microsoft could soon be added to watches from Samsung or Motorola. However, according to unconfirmed information, it should not be advertised as a smart watch but rather as a smart bracelet. The most interesting thing about this information is that, according to them, this bracelet should be compatible not only with Windows Phone, but also with Android and iOS. Microsoft is supposed to focus mainly on the health monitoring function with this bracelet; features like calorie burn tracking or pedometer should save their data to all different smartphones. The wristband, which is expected to be similar in appearance to Samsung's Gear Fit, could also support third-party apps. The release date and price of the bracelet have not yet been determined, but there is talk of a release in the last quarter of this year.

In a successful advertisement, Samsung takes issue with poor battery life in iPhones (July 3)
As is customary with Samsung, in a new ad for its latest model Samsung Galaxy S, it once again makes fun of the iPhone - this time for battery life. The ad highlights the ultra-saving mode of the Galaxy S5, as well as its replaceable battery. Samsung also used Blackberry boss John Chen's term "wall huggers" to tap into iPhone users' constant need to find electrical outlets to charge their phones.

A week in a nutshell
In the new iPhone ad Apple shows you can be a better parent with the iPhone. You can be a better driver thanks CarPlay, which will soon be extended to cars of other brands such as Audi or Fiat. And while Apple employees led by Tim Cook supported LGBT Pride in San Francisco, was held in Warsaw the CES fair, at which, among other things, a big boom in wearable devices was predicted, which is to come in the coming months and years. Apple itself probably anticipates this boom and continues to hire new personalities to help it perfect its own wearables. The latest a software engineer from the company behind the development of the Atlas bracelet became an employee of Apple. To the Apple Store offer of the week an adapter has also been added for easy locking of the Mac Pro using a classic security lock.
the samsung ad is nothing but embarrassing. Like sorry but "the next big thing" replaceable battery? :D that's a very weak joke..
A replaceable battery makes sense, especially with today's devices. But the real "the next big thing" for me will be inductive charging without cables. For someone to finally push it through.
Why? And why?
Because the iphone can last 2-3 hours at full brightness and less depending on how it is used. That's quite a bit. With inductive charging, we finally get rid of charging cables. No washing against the drawer. You just place the device close and it charges. In the evening, you put it on the bedside table and do nothing.
Total bullshit. For one thing, I don't know anyone whose iPhone can only work for 2-3 hours, and then the inductive charging is complete bullshit. What do you see as an advantage behind it? The fact that you can't hold your phone in your hand while charging and use it normally like you would with a cable? And then you have to carry the induction charging pad with you everywhere? The advantage of inductive charging in this case is so minimal and it has so many disadvantages that it is basically useless. It can only be used for those devices that cannot be conductively connected to the charger - e.g. to ensure waterproofness. Here, however, it is always better to place the phone in the dock so that it can be seen, or connect it with a cable so that it can be used normally while charging. And we can probably all agree on that.
I don't know how to work, but when I play a game on my iPhone (like Clash of Clans), the battery is dead in two hours at the latest. So I only run it outside sporadically and I still charge it 2-3 times a day (in the morning, at work, in the evening)... :-/
Otherwise, I agree with induction charging, it would be great. I would especially appreciate it at work, where my phone can be charged all day and when I go to a meeting, I just pick it up from the table as if it wasn't even charging... Classic charging via a cable can never compare to that, the cable sucks.
I don't know, I agree with the Guest. That's why I mentioned in the previous post Why and Why? Inductive charging does not change whether the phone is charged once or three times a day. It's just a matter of whether someone else finds it more COOL, right? In addition, the disadvantages see Guest clearly go against induction. And whether your phone drains while playing games is probably clear from the point of view of performance demands on the battery. Btw are you so se.re that you "have" to plug the cable into the phone? It still lies on the table just like the induction mat would.
That's right, plugging in and using cables doesn't bother me. If only everyone thought backwards like you. so we don't have cell phones, wifi, gps, etc.
This isn't about backwards thinking - it's just you. You can't even make a call or play RR3 with your mobile phone on the induction pad, you disconnect it from charging every time you pick it up and you don't let it charge like with a cable. You are limited to that one dull spot on the desk, often placed so that it does not interfere with your work, so even writing a note or sending a message is much more problematic and takes longer. Just bullshit and a dead end. If I want to play CoC for three hours, I'll plug my phone into the cable and sit comfortably in a chair - I won't hunch over some awkward pad at the table. But some have to be convinced and burned first. :-D By the way - how long does such a power guzzler take to charge on an induction pad compared to a cable? ;-)
Maybe it's closer than I thought http://news.starbucks.com/news/national-rollout-of-wireless-charging-by-duracell-powermat-begins-in-starbu
I see that Samsung and Nokia already have built-in wireless charging :) This is the concept, I put the phone on the table in a cafe or maybe on the bedside table in a hotel. I don't have to carry the charger anywhere. Same for laptops, tablets, etc.
:-D :-D :-D But you are an enthusiast. :-D :-D :-D
Now all that's left to do is force hoteliers to throw out all those "outdated" bedside tables and start placing new ones with inductive charging in their hotel rooms. :-D You are really naive. :-D Some devices (e.g. even iPads) are difficult to charge at all through alternative charging methods, so I have no illusions that the induction charger could handle it 100% overnight. A cable is just a cable. And you take a cold shower. :-P
Maybe not in some lice-ridden hotel, but regular hotels and cafes go with the times. Just look at the fact that wifi is standard in cafes today and new cafes have tables with sockets for laptops. Expansion is only a matter of time. From what I've read, inductive charging charges just as fast as a cable. The problem used to be with efficiency, but it is now equal to the efficiency of cables (approx. 75%). See you in a few years :)
I think the Host was never really busy with work, because what he describes is still only home use. Yes, the cable is fine, for example, if I want to do something on the given device for a long time (mostly at home). In all other cases, however, induction clearly wins for me. I can put that phone on the charger and take it off as often as I want with much more comfort than a cable will ever offer me. A person will appreciate this especially at work, if he goes to meetings, handles some calls, etc. The mobile phone will simply charge every time you put it on the table, which is much more convenient than connecting it to the cable when you have returned to the table for maybe just 10 minutes... The mobile phone simply charges continuously. If this is so difficult for someone to understand, then they shouldn't start discussing it at all :D
It's probably because I don't spend most of my time at that table with the induction charger. It's just for home use, when I actually put the phone away. However, there are much better places and devices for this than just induction mats.
For someone who actually takes calls and goes to meetings, the induction pad is a complete drag, which I had the chance to observe on a colleague. Maybe he still has the pad in his closet if he didn't throw it away. Because of this, he had to carry the mobile phone in a case, which also did not suit him. However, try it yourself and see. ;-)
Fuck them, they're just idiots who have never even tried inductive charging and it's easy for them to connect a cable to a mobile phone, while it's too late for them to get a decent dock in which to just put the mobile phone. If one of them needs to charge his mobile phone 3 times a day, then he probably uses it so much that recharging it through the mat would be a good weaning chicken for him - he would finally let it lie down instead of playing with it for hours. :-)))
You know, Macropus posted a link here that just proves how it doesn't work. Maybe sometimes he should look out of Starbucks and look at McDonalds, for example, where they have solved it much better - there are simply classic sockets into which you can plug in whatever you want. You can clearly see it in the video from Starbucks - you need an extra case with inductive charging for it, and whenever you even look at the phone there, you pick it up and basically disconnect it from charging, not to mention talking on the phone. It's just useless.
Jamtung has something to say, with normal use, their ho**a last about as long as iP...
If someone has time to let their mobile phone roll all day on some induction pad on a table or shelf, then that mobile phone is for them on ho.no. I need to always carry the mobile somewhere and when there is half an hour of time somewhere, then connect it to the charger, which gives it the maximum in a flash, and at the same time I am able to work with the mobile phone, copy documents, handle calls, write down notes and the like. Ladies with induction mats can stick their mats in ... and brag about how they have a wonderful thing that is practically useless. :-D :-D :-D
