Tim Cook is reportedly looking for a friendlier head of PR (9/6)

Former head of PR Katie Cotton left Apple at the end of May this year after eighteen years. Since then, Tim Cook himself has been trying to find a replacement for her. The company's CEO is reportedly looking for a new person who will be friendlier and more approachable. Re/code writes that Cook is looking for a new PR director directly within Apple among existing PR staff, but also outside of it. Friendliness and accessibility seem to be new characteristics of Apple, especially in the field of PR, so the new head of this division should also fit this profile.

The code in iOS 8 indicates the possibility of running the application only on a part of the screen (9/6)

Developer Steve Troughton-Smith discovered code in iOS 8 that aims to run multiple apps on a single screen. It says on Twitter that there will be the ability to run two apps at once, with the ability to choose in what proportion the apps are displayed - either ½, ¼ or ¾ of the display. This function has long been offered by some products from Samsung or Windows 8. At this year's developer conference WWDC, Apple did not confirm such a function, although it is speculated that they are indeed planning it in Cupertino and will introduce it later. From the ongoing discussion, it is clear that the news only applies to iPads and shows bugs and is still very unstable. It is possible that Apple is hiding this feature until the presentation of the new generation of iPads at the autumn conference.

New iMacs with faster processors are said to be released next week (10/6)

Apple is reportedly planning to update its iMac line next week in a similar fashion to how it updated the MacBook Air line in April this year. The changes should mainly concern the acceleration of processors, the Thunderbolt 2 interface or a lower price for the entire iMac. The source who predicted this information shared the same information in April regarding the new MacBook Airs, so it is very likely that this prediction will come out again. Apparently, Apple will once again choose the option of a silent update, in other words, without much fuss, it will display the new machine in its store. But for now, we almost certainly can't expect a new iMac with a Retina display.

Mac Pro is available for the first time in just 24 hours (June 11)

The delivery time for the Mac Pro is finally just one day after its introduction (not the start of sales). From the very beginning of sales of its most powerful computer, Apple had problems with delivery dates due to a limited production cycle. However, Apple managed to saturate the market enough to produce enough Mac Pros to deliver the machine to everyone within 24 hours. Delivery time applies to both Mac Pro models.

Basketball player James apparently made some decent money thanks to the acquisition of Beats (12/6)

Basketball player Lebron James, the star of the NBA, made a lot of money as a result of Apple's three billion acquisition of Beats. In fact, James signed a contract with Beats in 2008 and in exchange for promoting their headphones in particular, he got a minority stake in the company. ESPN, which came up with the information, writes that it is not known exactly how many shares James has, but he should have earned up to 30 million dollars thanks to the giant acquisition.

Lebron James is far from the only athlete promoting Beats headphones. World-famous stars such as Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani, Rick Ross and rapper Lil Wayne support and actively promote Beats.

Interestingly, Beats says they want to use James to promote their brand in the future, even though one of the best basketball players of today has appeared in several advertising campaigns for Samsung in the past, so the question is how Apple will approach the whole matter.
