The largest Apple Store in the world will open in Dubai this summer (May 18)
In three months, Apple plans to open the largest Apple Store in the world. It will also become the first apple store in the Middle East. People will find the new Apple Store in Dubai, in the luxurious Mall of the Emirates. The store should occupy an area of 4 square meters.
The second Apple Store should be opened right after, in Abu Dhabi in the large shopping center Yas Mall. Last February, Tim Cook also visited the new premises.

Tim Cook delivered the commencement address at George Washington University's graduation ceremony. He himself received his doctorate at this university. Cook talked mainly about his first meeting with Steve Jobs, his childhood in Alabama and Martin Luther King. Overall, Cook's speech was reminiscent of Steve Jobs' legendary speech at Stanford less than ten years ago. Even Cook tried to instill in all students the need to do the right and important things. Thus, Cook continues to show his strength in speeches and is once again proof of how well he understands the values and culture of the entire Apple.
But for the moment, the head of Apple put aside a serious tone, when he joked at the beginning that he should warn those present to turn off the ringer on their phones. “They asked me to make the standard announcement to silence your phones. So those with an iPhone put it on silent mode. If you don't have an iPhone, please send your phone to the alley, Apple has an excellent recycling program,” Cook announced with a smile.

TomTom will continue to provide map data to Apple (May 19)
Dutch company TomTom, which specializes in navigation systems, announced that it has renewed an agreement with Apple to provide map data for iOS and OS X. Shares in TomTom immediately rose seven percent to a six-year high. Details of the renewed contract are not known.
The Dutch company has been providing map data to Apple since 2012, when Apple decided to break away from Google and introduced its own map application.

Kanye West may be waiting for a new Apple service with his new album (22/5)
There is speculation that Kanye West is waiting for the release of his seventh solo album until Apple launches its new music streaming service in order to release the new album on it. Although Kanye West is a great friend of Jay Z, who launched his own streaming service Tidal a few months ago, it was first expected that the SWISH album could be released there. However, the latest speculation is that Kanye West will distance himself from Tidal and wait for Apple. Recently, the competition between Tidal and Apple has been growing, primarily to gain as many exclusive artists as possible. If Apple actually managed to land Kanye West, that's quite an achievement.

Estimate: 30 Apple Watch orders in the US per day (22/5)
In the first five weeks, 2,5 million Apple Watches were shipped, according to Slice Intelligence analysis. The data was compiled using electronic accounts that the company tracks, and according to them, Apple has sold an average of 30 watches every day since the Watch went on sale. More than half of the 2,5 million orders were received on the first day the Watch could be ordered, April 10. After the first day, there was a significant drop, at least when looking at the attached chart, but it still meant roughly 20 to 50 thousand orders per day. You can see the numbers in detail on the second graph, on which the first record day is missing.

The first regular customers received the gold Apple Watch Edition (23/5)
So far, we have mainly been able to see celebrities and other well-known personalities with the gold Apple Watch. Now, almost a month after the start of sales, the 18-karat gold Watch also reached the first regular customers. Owners of premium watches also receive more luxurious packaging. The box is more luxuriously lined inside and even integrates a MagSafe charger. You can see more in the attached unboxing video.

A week in a nutshell
This week opened the first official trailer for the new movie about Steve Jobs. It doesn't reveal much yet, but at least you can see what Apple co-founder Michael Fassbender looks like. The new hardware was shown by Apple, The Force Touch trackpad has survived also the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. He still has an older processor, but at least it has a significantly faster SSD. Next to that, go to the Apple menu also brought back the Lightning dock for iPhones, but the news was not very pleasing about the increase in the price of computers.
On the contrary, it is very positive news for Czech users honoring the App Store a launch of the Apple Store application also in the Czech Republic.
We have learned from well-informed sources that iOS 9 should also run very well on older devices and together with OS X 10.11 will focus primarily on quality.
