A new flagship Apple Store will be built on the Champs-Élysées, the first being built in Singapore (January 12)

The French newspaper Le Figaro came up with unconfirmed information that Apple should open a new flagship Apple Store on one of the world's most famous streets, the Champs-Élysées. According to the newspaper, the Californian company has leased a building in which to operate the store, along with office space above the store itself. The new store shouldn't open before 2018, as Apple has to go through architects and the city council first. The store on the Champs-Élyséées would become the 20th Apple Store in France.

The construction of the first Apple Store in Singapore has also moved forward. The original tenant, Pure Fitness, left the space in December, and Apple began renovations almost immediately. For now, the changes are not visible, the shop windows have been covered with a white sheet and the work is being done in secret. However, Angela Ahrendts already confirmed the opening of a new store in Singapore last year.

Apple is exploring a wristband for the Watch that could turn into a stand and cover (14/1)

An Apple patent published last week points to a new magnetic bracelet for the Apple Watch. A simple bracelet consists of several magnets, so it has several possible uses. In addition to being worn on the hand, thanks to its flexibility, the bracelet can be rolled up in such a way that its surface covers the glass of the watch and the user can carry it safely, for example, in a handbag. The use of the bracelet as a stand is interesting, and Apple's proposals even point to the possibility of attaching the watch to larger magnetic surfaces, such as a refrigerator. However, it is not yet certain whether the magnetic bracelet will actually reach the shelves of Apple Stores.
