The Apple Watch as Apple's most profitable product, patented bracelets, Pharrell on the Apple campus, but also a peeing Android stick figure, that's what Apple Week is all about today.

Watch should become Apple's most profitable product (April 20)

According to analysts, three million Apple Watch units will be sold in the first 14 days – 1,8 million Sport versions, 1,2 million steel versions and 40 thousand exclusive Watch Editions. Apple could get up to $2 billion from such interest, 60 percent of which should be net earnings. Such large revenues make the watch Apple's most profitable product. The components used in the steel and gold version of the watch are no different from the cheapest Sport version, and the material used for its exterior only minimally increases the cost of production. Even if the Apple Watch Edition is sold the least, the revenue from it will make up one quarter of the total revenue. According to estimates, Apple will not be able to produce enough watches for almost the entire holiday season, so customers will still have to wait for the latest product. Another 4 million units should be put into circulation by the end of June.

A new iPod touch could appear this year (April 23)

The iPod touch has been sold unchanged since October 2012, when Apple introduced it with a thinner and more colorful design, an A5 chip and a Lightning connector. Since then, sales of the iPod have been declining, and Apple has not even listed them as a separate entity in its results since late 2014. According to purely speculative reports, the iPod touch could receive an update this year. A newer A7 chip and improved front and rear cameras could also add more storage, which many users have been wanting since the 160GB iPod Classic was dropped. In addition, the new iPod could support Apple Pay, and the features associated with Beats would not be out of the question. Apple could present the iPod update during the September or October keynote, but it may also happen that the Californian company will do so only through its website.
