Apple launched a new advertisement on iCloud (February 26)

Apple has revealed another iPhone 4S ad that focuses on iCloud. A TV spot with the title iCloud Harmony is just a cut of syncing music, photos, calendars, apps, contacts and books across Macs, iPads and iPhones, there is no voice commentary this time.

Apple introduces Developer ID (February 27)

Not all developers want to distribute their software through the Mac App Store. Apple now wants to allow them to still remain as trustworthy as possible by introducing Developer ID. Any developer with this "certificate" lets users know that their software is serious and that they don't have to worry about malware and similar evils. Together with the new Mountain Lion feature, which is used to recognize applications signed through the Developer ID, this should be an effective way to prevent the installation of unwanted programs. Even software without a digital signature can be installed, but a warning will always appear.

Siri has a successful little sister, Evi, and Apple doesn't like that (February 27)

Evi is sort of an alternative to Siri for other phones. However, unlike Siri, it uses a service for voice recognition Nuance and then a service for searching Yelp. According to the developers TrueKnowledge 200 users have already downloaded the app. Apple is now threatening to pull the app entirely. At the same time, Evi is no novice in the App Store and has already gone through several updates.

The reason for the recall is supposed to be similarity to existing Siri, which is against the rules according to which applications that are similar to existing Apple products and thus have users will be rejected. However, Apple is not acting so aggressively and instead is working with developers to remove similarities so that the app can remain in the App Store.

Official Twitter app now with advertising (28/2)

Since the official Twitter app is free and Twitter also needs/wants to make money, advertising tweets will now appear in the timeline within the accounts of the companies you follow. Tweets will be displayed like all others, so they can be simply ignored. Advertising accounts will also appear in the list of recommended users to watch.

We can also find advertising tweets in the search results, but Twitter says that we will only see relevant results and if we don't like them, we can get rid of them by simply sliding them out of the display.

This applies to both iOS and Android. In the case of the iPad, however, these updates will only appear after the Twitter client has been updated from the App Store. If ads bother you a lot, you can use one of the paid Twitter clients.

The movie John Carter is dedicated to Steve Jobs (29/2)

Steve Jobs was involved not only in several revolutions in the world of mobile phones and computers, but also in the film environment, where he built one of the most famous Pixar studios. One of Pixar's best directors is Andrew Stanton, who also directed the film John Carter, which will hit theaters in March. Although it is not directly a Pixar production, Stanton decided to dedicate this fantasy adventure film to Steve Jobs, who passed away last year. The end credits will thus display:

"Dedicated to the memory of Steve Jobs, who is an inspiration to us all"

The reason why Stanton didn't wait for some purely "Pixar" piece is simple. The successful director did not want to wait too long and wanted to create an indelible memory of Steve Jobs as soon as possible. He also talked about everything with Jobs's wife.

Wozniak believes that Apple's share price can rise to $1000 (March 1)

Apple's stock price has skyrocketed in recent months. In mid-February, the price per share she blew over $500 and the company's co-founder Steve Wozniak believes that one day he can safely attack the double limit. Wozniak bases his hypothesis mainly on the fact that he does not see Apple as just one huge company, but because of strong products like iTunes, OS X, iPhone, iPad, Mac as several big companies in one. Wozniak spoke in interview for CNBC:

"People are talking about a thousand dollars a share. You don't want to believe it at first, but eventually you will, and I don't follow the stock market. Apple is on a big winning streak because they offer some of the big products I mentioned before, and they all work together so perfectly that buying a product from another company doesn't do nearly as much as buying one from Apple. So Apple still has great potential for growth.”

Currently, the price per share is around $540, and analysts expect that it may continue to grow with the introduction of the iPad 3 in the near future.

Apple became the world's most admired company for the fifth time in a row (March 1)

Fortune magazine has again announced the ranking of the most admired companies, and Apple, just like four years before, has overtaken companies such as Google, Coca-Cola, Amazon or IBM. Fortune justifies the Cupertino company's leading position as follows:

"The company's annual profit climbed to 108 billion US dollars, which was mainly helped by an 81% increase in iPhone sales. But it wasn't just the extraordinary success of the iPhone 4S that caused this jump. The iPad 2 also played a big role, which saw a 334% increase. The general uptick in sales explains why the stock is up 75% during the fiscal year to $495.”

With its fifth win in a row, Apple ranks alongside General Electronic. If he wins next year as well, he will become an unattainable record holder in the Fortune ranking.

Another court victory, this time against Motorola (1/3)

Apple has scored another court victory, this time in Germany against Motorola Mobility, which will soon fall under Google's wing. It was a patent related to a photo gallery. According to the court's decision, Motorola infringed the patent by implementing the gallery in mobile devices. It will thus have to develop a completely new photo gallery, and Apple may also force the company to withdraw existing products from German stores, which could negatively affect sales of Motorola phones in German territory.
