Kodak's patent fight, a mysterious new feature in the iOS 6 beta, new and old Apple ads or a hint of a 13″ MacBook Pro with retina display, all these are the topics of Apple Week for the 31st week.

Apple reportedly wants to acquire The Fancy service (5/8)

Apple is said to be considering buying the social network The Fancy, which is described by some as a competitor to the better-known Pinterest, although it is significantly smaller. Apple may be keen to tap into the ever-expanding e-commerce market, and The Fancy should be the entry point for it. Apple can offer over 400 million users with active credit cards, which could mean significant growth for The Fancy.

The Fancy is a store, blog and magazine at the same time, where you can mark your dream products and then buy them directly on the website. This is exactly The Fancy's advantage over the competition - you can shop directly on its website.

Google and Apple are fighting over the patents of the bankrupt Kodak (August 7)

Although Kodak doesn't have much time left before it goes bankrupt, it is still trying to get some more money from its patent portfolio. The well-known photography company believes it could get as much as $2,6 billion for its patents, with Apple and Google likely fighting over them. However, neither side has yet come close to meeting Kodak's demands.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple offered $150 million, with Google offering just $100 million more. In addition, Kodak's complete patent portfolio might not be so large in the end, because Kodak and Apple are currently in court where ten patents are being decided, and if the judge awards them to Apple, then Kodak will certainly not be able to claim such a high amount.

In iOS 6 beta 4, a new Bluetooth Sharing feature has been added (7/8)

Except for an unexpected revelation the absence of the YouTube application in the upcoming version of the OS, the fourth beta brought a new interesting feature. It is called Sharing via Bluetooth (Bluetooth Sharing) and its purpose is not yet known. The feature is found in the Privacy settings and the menu contains a list of apps that require data sharing via Bluetooth. This may be to simplify the transfer of data between third-party applications, but there are also rumors that this function could allow the transfer of data from the iPhone to a possible iWatch. These should very much support the current generation of iPod nano and would display, for example, incoming messages, weather or GPS location. If Apple were to come up with such an iPod or an iWatch when introducing a new iPhone, the manufacturer Pebble watch would have very strong competition.
