Michael Fassbender on the poster as Steve Jobs, the exchange of Androids for iPhones, the auction of a high school yearbook with Jobs and augmented reality at Apple, this is what the current Apple Week is all about.

Apple reportedly wants to lure Android users to the exchange program (March 16)

Apple plans to attract even more Android users. Thanks to the new trade-in program, interested parties will be able to bring their old Android devices to the Apple Store, where they will receive a gift card for it. The value of the voucher will depend on the age and condition of the individual devices, and users can then use the obtained credit to buy, for example, a new iPhone. Tim Cook mentioned, among other things, that after the release of the iPhone 6, Apple saw the biggest shift of users from Android in the last three years. Such a step is most likely an attempt to maintain a favorable situation.

Poster appeared with Michael Fassbender in the role of Steve Jobs (17/3)

The shooting of the new movie about Steve Jobs has been in full swing for several weeks. It appears that the first to be filmed was the introduction of the 1988 NeXT computer, the first product Jobs introduced after he left Apple. Filming took place at the San Francisco Opera House and many bystanders took part as extras. A poster featuring Michael Fassbender as Jobs posing with the new computer was also displayed on the opera house. Aaron Sorkin and Danny Boyle's film opens in US theaters on October 9.

A small team is to work on an augmented reality project at Apple (March 18)

Analyst Gene Munster claims that Apple is exploring the possibilities of augmented reality. According to him, Apple has a small team in Cupertino that is working on such a wearable product that would not cause the public to withdraw, as, for example, Google Glass did to some extent. Munster thinks the general public's use of such devices is still at least a decade away, but Apple wants to be ready. It is common knowledge that many products are being worked on at the Californian company that ultimately never see the light of day. If Apple comes up with a product that would once again stir up the stagnant waters in a somewhat stagnant industry, we probably won't find out anytime soon.

High school yearbook with Steve Jobs up for auction on eBay (19/3)

Steve Jobs' high school yearbook has surfaced on eBay, showing him as a long-haired teenager who you'd think would start a rock band rather than later become the world's most valuable company. The yearbook is being sold by the brother of Steve's classmate for 13 dollars (331 crowns), i.e. for a price even higher than one of the Apple Watch Edition versions. According to him, Jobs never took electrical engineering classes seriously and often struggled with them.

Windows 7 can no longer be installed via Boot Camp on new MacBooks Air and Pro (March 20)

The latest MacBooks Air and Pro with Retina display that Apple introduced earlier this month will no longer be able to install Windows 7 through the system's Boot Camp tool. Apple has removed support and will now only be able to install Windows 8 and later. If you would like to continue using Windows 7 as a second system, you will need to use alternative virtualization tools.

A week in a nutshell

Two weeks after the keynote, people are still talking about the new products that Apple introduced. We learned that the new Macbooks Air they bring visible acceleration, Macbooks Pro only minimal and that Force Touch trackpad on Macbooks most likely completely will change control of Apple products. Tim Cook also commented on the Apple Watch. He said, that although they are not the first smart watches, they will be the first ones that really matter. At the same time, Apple let go the first journalist to his secret laboratory, where research for the Apple Watch is underway. Paradoxically, Keynote also she doubled interest in competing Pebble Time smartwatches.

But Apple didn't just stop at the presented products and is constantly working on something new. He could already in June introduce a competing cable TV service for iOS. Last update got iPhoto, which is about to move data to the new Photos app.

Braun's famous designer Dieter Rams he declared, that he takes Apple products as a compliment, because they are really similar to his creations. Eddy Cue again let it be known that the latest documentary about Steve Jobs represents the former director of the company in a light in which he did not know him at all. Via Facebook Messenger they will go send money and TAG Heuer is going to along with Intel and Google to compete with the Apple Watch.
