Honza Dvorsky The developer beta version of the new iWork for iCloud was already launched by Apple after the WWDC conference last month. The suite includes Pages, Numbers and Keynote in a version for web browsers on pages iCloud.com. It looks like Apple is gradually opening up access for regular users as well, although it's still a beta version.
By releasing a web version of its iWork suite, Apple responds to other successful web tools such as Google Docs and Microsoft Office 365. However, these services can now also be used by Windows users, all they need is a suitable web browser and an Apple ID account.
If you're among the lucky ones and Apple has already let you into iWork for iCloud, keep in mind that it's still in beta. However, I haven't encountered any problems in my own use, and together with iWork for iOS and Mac, Apple shows us that we can leave Microsoft Office of the past without worries.
So he already invited me and sent an email. I tried it and I like it. It's simply Word in the browser as presented by Apple. Really nice, still researching.
I'm envious :-) Hopefully I'll see it too...
Until iwork can format the line spacing of footnotes differently than in the entire document, iwork is completely useless for me and it still leads office for mac even with all its bugs!
This is of course possible in Pages for Mac :-)
But it probably won't work on the iOS/iCloud version, it's not feature-complete.

Open Pages on your Mac.
Have some text on the page. Put the cursor where you want to have a footnote, then the menu Insert -> Footnote. This adds a number to the text and a note under the car. Well, that's a normal text box, so if you select all the text in the note under the line and Inspector -> Text -> Text -> Line: choose line spacing there, nothing will change in the line spacing of the page itself.
The wording of this underlined note and the text itself on the page is therefore completely independent :-)
Well, when I get to Pages, I'll try, but really the function can have repeated and non-repeated footers.
I was in that menu and both were not possible.
They invited me too, but they justified it by saying that I'm listed as a developer (even though I'm not in any paid iOS/OS X groups).
Otherwise it looks interesting. Although keynote presentations cannot be exported to MOV, as in the iOS version.
It will definitely not go without worries. Writing academic papers that require specific formatting cannot be created without Office. And in cooperation with colleagues and students, it is also not the best solution if Office is everywhere. Simpler documents are not a problem.
