Apple launched a new version of its iWork for iCloud service. The changes affect all three applications of this web office suite. Pages, Keynote, and Numbers underwent a slight redesign and came closer to the flat iOS 7 concept. The document library and the template selection screen were changed. In addition to visual changes, new functions have also been added. All three applications now offer document password protection as well as the ability to share password-protected documents with other users.

In addition to the changes mentioned above, each of the applications has also become functionally closer to its counterparts on the Mac. Pages now supports floating tables, page numbers, page counts, and footnotes. There are also new keyboard shortcuts for resizing, moving and rotating objects. The user will also notice similar innovations in Keynote. All three apps have also been improved in terms of stability and a few minor bugs have been fixed.

It is likely that Apple will continue to work on its new cloud service to better compete with Google Docs and similar rivals. In iWork for iCloud, we still find many elements that have not been completely converted to the style of iOS 7, and some fairly essential functions are also missing. People working in a team would certainly welcome the ability to track changes in a document or leave comments on the content.
