One of the highlights of the last keynote was the iLife multimedia package. It received many improvements in version 11, and it was expected that Steve Jobs could immediately introduce iWork 11, i.e. the office's little brother. But that didn't happen and users are still waiting. The arrival of the new Pages, Numbers and Keynote is said to be soon.

AppleInsider reports that Apple already has iWork 11 completely ready. It is said that Jobs even wanted to present it at the Back to the Mac keynote, but abandoned it at the last minute. The reason is simple. Instead, Apple introduced the Mac App Store, and the office suite should be its main attraction.

The Mac App Store should appear in the coming months, and developers are already submitting their applications to Cupertino for approval. And Apple should also release the novelty in the new store. But in a slightly different way than before. It will probably no longer be possible to purchase the entire package, but only individual applications (Pages, Numbers, Keynote), at a price of $20 each. At least that's what the samples from the Mac App Store say, where iWork applications cost $19,99 and iLife applications cost $14,99.

Most likely, we will see the same model as on the iPad, where office software is already sold individually. You can buy Pages, Numbers or Keynote in the App Store for $10. If all goes well, we should see the new iWork 11 by the end of January next year. The Mac App Store should be launched by then. The current version of iWork 09 will be on the market for two years in January.
