While the category of films in iTunes with Czech dubbing is slowly but surely growing – we can already find 124 films here, including Hollywood blockbusters – users longing for the original version with Czech subtitles have been out of luck so far. Not that there are no subtitles in iTunes, on the contrary, you can find a large number of pictures with subtitles in Spanish, German, French, Dutch or Polish, but Czech is still missing.
However, hope may have dawned on Czech users. As you noticed SuperApple.cz, in the category Movie in Czech a new subcategory has appeared Film with Czech subtitles. It currently has almost 150 titles, including the last two Star Trek, all three parts Iron Man or some Bond movies. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, we find that none of the films actually contain Czech subtitles. We can find up to 13 different languages here, but our mother tongue is missing here. This is probably an error on Apple's side. It is our hope that the subcategory was dropped prematurely and the Czech subtitles will eventually actually appear.
In addition to this deceptive subcategory, several other dubbed films have been added in recent weeks and even one Czech - Looking for a president, a behind-the-scenes film of this year's direct presidential election. There is a need for dubbed news Iron Man 3, The Croods, Eastern Promises or The Dark Knight rose.

As one of our readers pointed out, there is actually one movie with Czech subtitles in iTunes. This is a dramatic picture Spring Breakers, it has hard-coded subtitles, you can't turn them off. After all, he informed about the forthcoming subtitled version of this film Blue Sky Movie another of our readers. So maybe we will see real Czech subtitles.
I was already looking at it this morning. But I did find one movie with subtitles there by chance. Spring Breakers. It's just a pity that they are hard. However, it seems to be on the right track :-)
Only sheep can really buy a movie tied to HW from Apple.
if you have no idea about the thing you're commenting on, it's better not to comment at all...
What am I wrong about? Perhaps I forgot about iTunes on Windows, i.e. see above. But otherwise, I don't resist any lessons.
so I buy a movie, I can play it on Mac, Win, iOS plus after about three clicks I can see the folder where it is downloaded? what is the problem?
You won't beat it on anything else. I.e. except for Linux and BSD, you cannot play it on any multimedia center except apple-tv. In addition, for each playback you have to enter permission from Apple, even if you have paid for the movie. This is what I don't like about it. If Apple wants it, you have movies.
Yes, but that's a DRM problem, isn't it? WMV with DRM cannot be played anywhere else than in mediaplayer, i.e. only in Windows.
I like to buy any movie from the comfort of my sofa for reasonable money via Apple TV, then the hycals can continue to squeal in the discussions, including you.
well, regardless of the fact that the movie is linked to an apple ID, you can make the same purchase in iTunes on windows... but that's how the troll trolled...
sw from Apple tied to the Microsoft platform is really a winner
one constructive argument in what is not a win? I really don't understand. I have all my music legally from itunes. I have it on my daughter's nokia, on my wife's iPod, I listen to it in the car from a USB… what are we talking about? do you have linux and came here to troll?
I don't care about music, I don't really mind it. It is not protected by DRM and you can listen to it wherever you want. I'm talking about movies. And somehow I don't understand what Linux is doing here. Yes, I have a Linux workstation (notebook) at work and it bothers me that I can't play the movie I bought on it because Apple has forbidden me.
aha - then buy a proper workstation from Apple and the problem with movies will disappear. Otherwise, I really don't know what you want from half-baked software. Stop saving and buy something that will run your movies (maybe even the terrible Windows)
I bought Thora and without the announced support of the Czech language, I filed a complaint via the web form, so we'll see
So I have Thor with Czech. But on Apple TV 1st. GEN with iOS-3. On ATV3 without her…
Can you please contact me at: libor (at) jablickar.cz? Thanks.
So they returned my money saying that they will solve it in the coming weeks, they told me on the phone that iTunes support is only via the web form Thanks for the great news with AT1, it sounds promising, it's possible, so it's only a technical problem
There are trailers and subtitles for the movie Fast and Furious 6, so it looks promising.
It is the same with other trailers for the films - Children of Men and Pitch Black.
I have already bought a lot of movies on iTunes, but what I don't understand is that English subtitles are not standard for every movie. Czech will be great, at least the whole family will watch the movie :)
