More interesting photos with a wide-angle lens!

According to documented information, the iPhone is the most widely used "camera" in the world. People take all kinds of pictures with it from birthdays, parties and sports activities. iPhone is used by its users practically everywhere, and the question is whether you are interested in more interesting and perfect photos that you can take easily and in a second.

It is an add-on for both iPhone 4 and 4S (yes, it has absolutely no effect on the iPhone version) that is easy to use. What is it actually about? We are talking about fish eye (English fish eye), thanks to which you have a wide-angle lens (180°) in a second and thus you can take perfect photos with an even more perfect effect.

What is hidden in the package itself?

You get a miniature accessory weighing only a few grams. More precisely, it is a magnetic pad that allows you to attach the wide-angle lens to the iPhone itself in seconds. The manufacturer thinks about the very details and the pad has one side "bitten out", similar to the logo of your apple phone. With the "bitten side" you stick the pad to the flash. Even the smallest details are really taken care of. The pad is glued directly to the phone lens on one side, the other side is logically magnetic, which is used for a fixed "fisheye" connection.

The magnet is very strong, and in no case do you have to worry that the lens would come loose during photography, for example, and it would fall to the ground. When you want to separate the two parts, you have to use quite a lot of force.
The package also includes a plastic cover for the lens itself and one spare pad, which unfortunately no longer has the "bitten" part. The part that attaches to the lens itself is naturally also magnetic and contains a string that you can attach to keys or a backpack/bag. I really like this solution, because you can always have your wide-angle lens close at hand thanks to the negligible weight.

Easy to attach to a mobile phone

Attaching to the phone (not an iPhone requirement thanks to the replacement magnetic base) is very simple. Just take the magnetic pad, which has an adhesive tape on one side after tearing off the protective film, which you attach exactly to the lens of your phone. When gluing it to the phone, be sure to be precise, as it is very important in this case.

If we have a magnetic pad stuck to the phone (it can be removed again - not comfortably, but possible), just take the fish eye and attach it to the phone using the magnetic force. Yes, that's it - all you have to do is start the camera and enjoy the wide-angle shot, or fisheye.

This perfect effect is very popular and what better way to achieve it than with this little accessory for your Apple phone.

Does it hold on the cover or foil?

Most people who have an iPhone use either a protective film on the back or a cover that also protects the back of your cell phone. Of course, the testing took place in both cases and the results are perfect.

The first test was on the carbon film that I have attached to the back of my iPhone 4. So I removed the protective film from the magnetic pad and stuck it exactly on the lens of the phone. Even though I use the protective film mentioned above, the strength was perfect and you definitely don't have to worry about it peeling off when taking pictures or taking it out of your pocket. If you have a protective film on the back (it doesn't matter what material), you don't have to worry about it peeling off. Testing also took place on a transparent protective film and with the same effect. Although the magnetic pad stuck to the phone and on top of the stylish foil disturbs the overall clean design, but that's another matter.

Do you use an iPhone cover that protects the back of your phone? Worried if the magnetic pad on the cover will stick? Will it peel off and the lens fall off? Even in this case, you don't have to worry. There is absolutely no damage to the lens and the quality of the photos is practically the same as when directly attached to the iPhone.

Final assessment

In conclusion, if I have to evaluate the fish eye, I have to use only superlatives. This is seriously a perfect accessory not only for your iPhone, which can turn your phone into a wide-angle lens (180°) within a second and help you capture slightly more perfect photos using the fish eye effect. If you don't have the lens connected to your phone thanks to the strong magnet, you can attach it to your keys thanks to the strap and thus capture luxurious photos in all conditions and especially in every situation.

All you have to do is remove the cover and disconnect the magnetic part, which you can immediately reattach to the phone - turn on the camera and take pictures comfortably. The strength of the magnet is really strong and in no case do you have to worry about the magnet "disconnecting" on its own.

In conclusion, I rate the photographic tool called the fish eye very positively. The photos are supplemented with a modern effect and add a certain originality to your piece.

I recommend editing the photos afterwards in some programs - for example Camera+ or Snapseed. The camera extension definitely lives up to its price…
