During the presentations of new products, Apple always highlights their main advantages and sends their first images to the world. However, various smaller or larger details, hardware specifications and other details appear only in the following days, when developers and journalists start digging into the news. So what did we gradually learn about Wednesday's news?
RAM is something that Apple never talks about when introducing products. So this is one of the data that the public has to wait for some time. About the fact that it would be very strange if i iPhone 6s it still only had 1 GB of RAM, it was rumored for quite some time. But now we finally have confirmation that Apple has indeed doubled the operating memory in the latest iPhones.
Not much of a surprise but Xcode confirms 2GB of RAM for the 6s (and 6s plus), and 4GB for the iPad Pro pic.twitter.com/X8Ym4DtamS

The proof of the expansion of the operating memory was brought by the developer Hamza Sood, who mined the information from the Xcode 7 developer tool. In the same way, he then confirmed that the new iPad Pro it will have an operating memory of 4 GB, which is information that Adobe has already disclosed in its materials.
A higher operating memory will allow the new devices to keep more applications running at the same time or, for example, more open bookmarks in the Internet browser. Working with the system is then much more pleasant, because the device does not have to repeatedly load Internet bookmarks and you do not have to worry that the running application will close on its own.
Another interesting piece of information is that the new iPhone 6s are slightly heavier than the one-year-old iPhone 6. Although this is not an extreme increase in weight, the weight of both the larger and smaller phones increased by roughly 11 percent year-on-year, which can be noted. It was originally thought that the new 7000 series aluminum alloy, which has a slightly higher density than the older 6000 series due to the addition of zinc, may be to blame.
But the material did not actually cause a significant increase in weight. The aluminum itself is even one gram lighter in the iPhone 6s than in the iPhone 6 and in the iPhone 6s Plus only two grams heavier than in last year's 6 Plus. However, the new alloy is significantly stronger, and the new iPhone series should not suffer from the bending that caused media storm last year.
But what is behind the weight gain? It is a new display with 3D Touch technology, which is twice as heavy as last year's models. Apple had to add an entire layer to it to ensure that the intensity of pressure with which you press the display is sensed. The new display layer also adds thickness to the phone. Here, however, the difference is only two tenths of a millimeter.
The last interesting piece of information is that the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro use the latest Bluetooth 4.2 technology. It is even more energy-efficient, includes security and privacy improvements, and promises a 2,5x increase in data transfer speed with ten times the data capacity.
The surprise, however, is that it does not support this technology, which is supposed to be a kind of ideal for the "internet of things". the new Apple TV. Until now, Apple has talked about a special set-top box as the center of a smart home, to which all smart devices with HomeKit support will be connected. In Cupertino, however, they probably think that Apple TV can get by with WiFi 802.11ac support and older Bluetooth 4.0.
I wonder if the now popular protective glasses will be used on the new iPhone 6S/6S Plus...
That is a good question. Personally, I can't imagine a phone without a cover glass. Protection is one thing, but ease of cleaning is another. I have a glass cover on my Note 3. When I need to clean my phone, I breathe on it and rub it against the trick. Done. And the phone is like new after 8 months. I can easily sell it for decent money. Hopefully it won't reduce the touch force sensitivity.
Well, I think the cover glass will be a big problem. If not I will be very surprised. After all, it is nothing more than a mechanical micro bending of the display surface - and if I put another quite thick glass on the surface - the mechanics will be completely different!! So returning to the foil and there I would expect possible difficulties...
Yeah, that sounds logical. We'll see.
What is the cover glass for? If you don't carry sand in your pockets, you won't scratch it even if you wanted to. Protection is only good for llamas, who can write it in an ad when they sell their iPhone after a year at a bazooka for full fire. A mobile phone is a consumer product. That is, it wears out and loses value. When I want to invest, I buy gold, not a phone. I got a little upset, but don't take it personally.
And how much RAM does the iPad mini 4 have?
1gb, for apple is a mini entry model for those who want ios and don't have it. it will end up like an ipod touch and fall into oblivion.
You are wrong. It has 2GB. The latest bluetooth, fingerprint reader and photo from Air 2. Practically the same processor. Aimed at people who want a larger screen and performance and don't want to be dragged around with the Air 2. The combination of a tiny iPhone 5S in a pocket and an iPad mini4 for the Internet, etc. is ideal in my opinion. And don't write anything about sedentary people and socks. The price difference between Mini 4 and Air 2 is small. Money will definitely not be the main reason when making a decision. Just practicality and better portability.
In my opinion, it is definitely a good thing that Apple now has the entire spectrum of display sizes covered, and in addition, with the release of the Mini 4, it has shown that it wants to keep it that way. We have the 4″ iPhone 5S, 4.7″ iPhone 6S and 5.5″ iPhone 6S+, and then the 7.9″ Mini 4, 9.7″ Air2 and 12.9″ Pro. The distances are quite regular and after this year's update of the Mini, for which someone here prophesied certain death after the release of the light Airu2 and the large iP6, I would not be surprised at all if the 4″ size saw a revival in a year. Only the 5S and Air2 will be 2 years old next year, and there will be a lot on offer. Together with the new Watch2, I would therefore expect Air3, iPhone 7C (just 4″ iP), 7, and 7+. Such cycling would also make sense given the distribution of the burden of development and production...
I agree. They could just upgrade the 5s a little. I really think that, as far as mobility is concerned, a 4-inch phone and an iPad or Mac book is the best combination. And the current 5s is already a little past its zenith. Or a Watch on your hand. I do a lot of sports and pulling pancakes is hard. In this, the Note 3 is completely ahead. It's so big that it doesn't even fit well in the armband
2GB. Google Mac mini 4 specs. It will also support multiple applications on the display.
