A lot has happened this fall. Basically, every major player in the mobile phone market has introduced their flagship. It all started with Samsung, followed by Apple with the iPhone 8. A month later, Google came out with the new Pixel, and everything was rounded off again by Apple, which released the iPhone X the week before last. a hilarious video that you can watch below.
The authors' review is structured into several categories, such as design, hardware, camera, display, unique features (Face ID, Active Edge), etc. In addition, the authors compare how both phones perform in everyday use and how they hold up against reality weekday.
Google Pixel 2 (XL):
The price tag of both phones is similar, the iPhone X costs $999, the Pixel 2 XL costs $850 (however, it is not officially sold in the Czech Republic). The displays are also similar in size, although the overall size is significantly different, to the disadvantage of Google's flagship. In terms of performance, the iPhone X reigns supreme with its A11 Bionic processor. In the benchmarks, there is no one who can match its performance. However, in normal day-to-day use, both phones are powerful enough that you won't be able to tell the difference between them.
Both models have an OLED panel. The one in the Pixel is from LG, while Apple uses Samsung services. Right from its release, the new Pixel has been plagued with burn-in issues that have yet to appear on the iPhone. This is most likely due to the inferior manufacturing process that LG has compared to Samsung. Color rendering is also slightly better on the iPhone.
In the case of cameras, the fight is even. The iPhone X has a dual camera, while the Pixel 2 will offer only one lens in the main camera. However, the results of both are very similar and in both cases they are great photomobiles. The front camera is also similar for both models, although the Pixel 2 offers slightly better processing of portrait images.
Official iPhone X Gallery:
The iPhone X offers Face ID, while the Pixel 2 has a classic fingerprint reader. In this case, it will be a matter of personal preference, but Apple's new authorization system is praised basically everywhere. The Pixel 2 XL includes the Active Edge function, which recognizes a stronger press on the phone and executes a preset command (Google Assistant by default) based on this. As for the battery, the one in the Pixel 2 XL is larger, but the iPhone X has better endurance in practice. It also has compatibility with wireless charging, which is not possible with the Google flagship, due to the design. Both phones don't have a 3,5mm connector and it doesn't make much sense to evaluate the design, given its subjective perception. However, the iPhone X looks significantly more modern than the competitor from Google.

similar price tag??
$150 here, $150 there…
Did LG really make a display for the Pixel 2 XL? I thought LG made the Pixel 2.

Google.”
So does he or doesn't he? :D
Both phones also have one thing in common, that they are technical trash that has to deal with an endless series of problems.

For now, I have to knock, but nothing on Xku concerns me. But even in the past ip4 signal, ip6 bending, etc. So if it's not always just Hype and it really only concerns a few pieces
Me too only with iP 6 Plus. Faulty display. But I can't see anymore. iPhone no more?
I don't want to say anything but the site is called "apples" and it compares the Pixel (from google) and the iPhone X (from Apple) and the iPhone wins by a large margin
well, especially since apple said that the flagship is Iphone8 and not IphoneX :) so you are comparing the wrong model
anyway... it doesn't matter at all, iphoneX and iphone 8 are beautiful phones, but with one major flaw... they have iOS and the train doesn't go through it. so cretinous (involuntary to reject for good as soon as possible) updates and planned obsolescence make the device a jamming and falling mess after a few years. theoretically, it doesn't matter if you change it after two years, but as a human being, I don't agree with that tactic, and that's why last week, after years, I changed my iPhone to Android and I'm satisfied, Android updates are guaranteed until the end of 2020... and most importantly, it doesn't have a full back glass: ) let's talk and you'll be kneeling on the ground, the last line of the phone is rather sensitive craps that have their backs attached to the whole board, so it stands like a phone stick :D nonic
I don't know what kind of iPhone you had, but I and my friends have never had an iPhone freeze or crash (and some even have an iPhone 4, which is a 7-year-old model). Of course, I am not forcing it on you, I just have a different experience.

hey, even if you forced it on me, it would be difficult when my iPhone sometimes hangs up during calls (and the call seems to be unable to hang up), when apps shut down for no reason, when the GUI lags for two seconds and then starts up... I understand that it is it's updates and new functions in iOS that my phone can't use, but first of all they should have given a different build for my phone, which would have those functions turned off and not slow down my phone :) but it doesn't matter, anyone who uses and used an iPhone knows this , that it is cut and built with older models, no one is surprised, I just said enough :)
strange how people always have to argue about something and convince those around them of their truth :-)
I have a Lumia of the last generation, so I probably belong in a complete cesspool. But I don't have a phone to brag about, or to convince people around me that my machine is flawless.
But I observe my surroundings, my colleagues and my family.
I have to agree that iPhones are stable and of good quality, but up to the 6th generation. What the 4/4S/5/5C/5S lasted is incredible and it still holds up, the next choice is the SE. As for Androids, I have never been in I haven't encountered anyone complaining about something in my area. Restarts, application crashes, system slowdowns, the inability to turn off updates, etc. Unfortunately, I bought a Samsung S5 about three years ago, nothing cheap, so I assumed that it would fulfill everything what he has and without problems. Unfortunately, he managed it for 4 months, then he managed to do everything described in my surroundings. I happily sold it for 1000.- cheaper to a colleague who wanted it. I envied my wife and children that their terrible and old iPhones that they still pedal without restarting and other problems.
Now I'm with the Lumia 950, which I got through the L820 and L930, I don't have to solve any problems even though it's a dead platform and it does exactly what it's supposed to, and it takes incredible photos (since then the SLR has been in the closet) And I enjoy how everyone praises their blow to heaven, or use it to polish your prestige even if you have a hole in your pocket :-)
But life is a struggle and I need work, so I dare to address the staff, if you know how much waste we create and how the next generation will live. Do we care? Or will I be here chasing a better phone and drinking plastic water. We still we have something to drink, but what about our children and grandchildren? I can look them in the eyes for what we have caused. . . ?
nice story, go to sleep now
