In recent days, a video featuring the iPhone X has become popular on YouTube in a huge way. The video appeared on the channel Man + River, whose author is dedicated to searching for lost objects in the bed of an American river. He records his adventure and when he found an iPhone X at the bottom of the river a few days ago, there was a sensation.

You can watch the video below. This is another part of the author's series of videos about what can be found at the bottom of the river that flows through a tourist-active location. This time, the author found an iPhone X (among other things). After three days of thorough drying, he went to test if the iPhone was still functional. After connecting it to the charger, it turned out that it still worked, so he decided to try to contact the unfortunate person who lost their iPhone.

After contacting the owner, it turned out that the loss occurred approximately two weeks before the filming of this video. The iPhone thus lay at the bottom of the river for more than a fortnight without a proper waterproof case. Officially, the machine has an IP67 certification, which should only guarantee a limited degree of water resistance (the device should be able to withstand immersion in one meter for 30 minutes). However, it can be seen from the video that the level of protection against water is at a significantly better level than Apple states. The author of the video contacted the owner and then sent the phone to her. She can be happy that she didn't lose her photos because, as it happened in the video, she somehow didn't have them backed up... What does this mean for other owners? If you drop your iPhone X in the shower/bathtub/pond(/toilet?), don't worry, the phone should survive it no problem!
