After a pause of several days, we are following up on our first impressions with a review of the new iPhone SE. How did the news manifest itself in four days, and are all the discussed shortcomings really so fundamental?
Review the new iPhone SE is relatively simple considering what "recycled" this is actually the case. The chassis and overall design is definitely not something new and innovative, on the contrary. So the only elements that have changed from the sample iPhone 8 are camera a SoC inside.
Does it take photos like the iPhone 8, 11 or 11 Pro?
Much has been written about the camera in the new iPhone SE. From the information that it is the same sensor as in the case of the iPhone 8, through the information about the modified sensor from the iPhone 11. From the technical side, the truth is somewhere in the middle, as in its article published by the authors of the popular photo application Halide. Technicalities aside, practical tests show that the new The iPhone SE takes pictures very well. In good lighting conditions with a photo quality of almost balances out to their more expensive siblings, where on the contrary is losing are scenes shot in low light conditions where there is a significantly greater amount noise than more expensive models. We can then go straight to night mode forget. However, it is completely new for ordinary photography and capturing snapshots from trips, vacations, family gatherings, etc sufficient and according to many (who have the possibility of comparison) it is really about the most powerful single-sensor system in current smartphones.
Despite this, the iPhone SE also has portrait mode, which is intended only for photographing people, still works surprisingly well. The recognition of the depth of the photographed scene is not taken care of by another sensor this time, but by artificial intelligence calculations inside the processor. Under "ideal conditions" there is a bokeh effect hilarious, in the case of more complex compositions, it can shoot in places, but it is nothing major. In addition, some third-party applications allow portrait mode to be unlocked for taking pictures of objects and animals. Demonstrations of these capabilities that have appeared on the web so far show that the new iPhone SE is doing well and usable in this regard as well. 3D mapping does not need another sensor.
In relation to the camera, it is good to mention the video recording capabilities. They are, as we are used to with iPhones, on very high level. The phone can record up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and thanks to integrated stabilization, the quality of the sensor and processing, the result is very good.
A13 Bionic guarantees long life
Probably the biggest attraction of the novelty is the presence of the latest SoC, which Apple offers in iPhones. Processor A13 Bionic, together with 3 GB RAM will ensure that the iPhone SE released this year will maintain software support at least until 2024, personally I would guess at least a year longer. Information about Apple installing an underclocked or otherwise disadvantaged A13 Bionic processor in the SE model has not been confirmed. It's about the same version, which is located in iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. And that's great.
Thus powerful chip, which is paired with a relatively small display and relatively low resolution, will guarantee maximum agility and responsiveness of the system, which should also last for many years. I dare say that there is nothing currently causing this processor a problem. SoC has graphics power to give away, for example, you can enjoy any title that is available in the App Store (or Apple Arcade) in its full quality. In day-to-day use, I never once felt that the iPhone SE needed a bit of extra power, and the super-fast storage only adds to that feeling.
1800 mAh - and it's not enough...?
Expected weakness the news is the battery. It's about completely identical battery that Apple offered in the iPhone 8. Battery capacity 1 821 mAh it is nowhere near the capacity of the batteries that Apple has been installing in newer iPhones in recent years. Given the size of the iPhone SE, this is logical, but it should be noted here that the endurance of the new product is far from comparable to what you are (possibly) used to from the X, XS, 11 or 11 Pro models. Keep holding on battery life in practice is of course fundamentally influenced by how you use the iPhone. Personally, I managed to get something over 5 hours SoT (Screen-on time) at very lukewarm loads (Safari, Mail, Reddit client, messages, occasional YouTube playback). However, once you start taking more photos, recording videos or playing games, battery life is rapidly decreasing with the fact that it is not a problem to discharge the phone after a really heavy load two hours such intensive activities. If you're used to the battery life of newer, larger iPhones, you might be a bit disappointed. However, physics cannot be fooled.
And the others?
Otherwise, everything is more or less the same. The iPhone SE 2020 as a whole feels like very solid phone. If you can transfer over display (the rating of which will depend purely on which smartphone you're upgrading from to the iPhone SE) and you can handle (or don't mind) a bit (by today's standards) limited endurance battery, you get your hands on it very capable, excellently crafted a phone with a very good lifespan. The biggest question in connection with the new iPhone SE remains, for whom the novelty is actually intended. Personally, I think that a large part of the customers who reached for the XS and 11 Pro models last year or the year before, would iPhone SE was abundantly sufficient. If you are not a total enthusiast of new technologies and do not use all the functions and options offered by the new iPhones, you will find the SE model everything you need. Very good camera, top-notch hardware inside, first-class workmanship, assurance of long-term software support… and touch ID, which works just fine in the current situation! Of course, I also have to highlight the option wireless charging, together with fast charging. It is found in the iPhone SE packaging 5W adapter, but you can purchase 18w adapter, which Apple bundles with flagships, and thus use fast charging.

Did I understand correctly from the review that this is a piece of cake?
He did not understand, it is necessary to read first, then make an opinion. :)
So the only advantage is the alleged future support, about which no one knows anything and only speculates. The flashlight is just as bad as in all iP 6,7 and 8 with the same design. The camera is only good under light, the design is outdated. Touting Touch ID for a month of wearing a mask is ridiculous. It doesn't mention that it won't work with your gloves on. I don't understand that such a gray machine as the P SE2 can produce so many articles in a few days. That's a miracle
That's really terrible :D, this is x years "old" mobile and Apple will sell millions of them and make money from it... I really don't understand why. The only plus I see is the price (among iPhones, right). For 13K, the competition is elsewhere. Will Apple ever do something that people want? Small square design, please-NOTHING!, Bigger flashlight?-SHIT YOU! I'd rather narrow it down and pull out the lens. I love Apple but I've been pissed off for the last 2-3 years. I know that everyone doesn't care (especially Apple) but I had to pour my heart out, sorry. PEACE!
There are more of us, if we count the big mistakes with macbooks, I will try the competition and keep my fingers crossed.
Sure, you would like a square design, 3 camera lenses, a battery as big as the one in the iPhone 11 pro, without a frame display and at a price of 13k or ideally less. So try to make such a phone. No one will make you a phone that will make a profit, be happy that Apple made a phone for 13k and don't cry here.
Or switch to android, then you'll cry that you're bored again :D
Didn't people want a small iPhone? Did I write something about lenses? You're absolutely right :) I want iPhones like razors... there's no problem charging them a couple of times a day, especially if they're cute <3 and we'll add a 20W adapter to the mobile phone package for 5... we won't pack the better one for them, the one they'll buy nicely for five kilos...Do you know the approximate price of an iPhone battery? max 10 dollars... I'll never switch to Android shit, but then again, you can't keep being in charge...
I've been using SE2 since last patch. I am VERY excited about the photo shoot. Increased processor speed and more RAM didn't hurt me. Anyway, I'm giving my SE2 to my husband tomorrow, I don't want it, it's too big for me and it's not comfortable to use. Note: I'm not a dwarf, I'm over 1,9m tall and yet I don't find it comfortable to use this mobile phone with one hand. So I'm going back to the SE 1 again - that's the best mobile for me. 1 !
Hm, I didn't find out much, I'm attracted by the support on the SE, which I didn't get with the Z5C, but if it takes pictures in the dark and lasts for a few hours, I'd rather buy another compact from Sony.
Please, you haters of something that was at Apple, it's over and now it's out again. As an i8 owner I am excited! I missed a phone with exactly these dimensions in Apple's offer (my wife and I have smaller hands), and we are also used to and like the Home button. In short, an eight suits us, but we don't want X or 11, on the contrary. So, I guess.
Everything has its buyer.
It seems like a very nice feature to me, but the killer is the battery life
I'm not surprised that the new SE is a success...some people will say that it has an outdated design, but that's what's great about it, I remember the 6 and 6s series were a blast and that's what made the iphone an iphone, back then the 6s series was expensive as well people are now happy to buy a flagship phone for little money…as for touch ID, that's exactly what people want…they put their thumb and that's it, no staring at the phone, no screen scan…the new iPhones nice, ok , but what about the cutout? This is simply not what conservative apple fans want...they simply want a phone with touch ID, ideally small, just like before...how many people still have the 6s series or even the 6 and how satisfied are they...and why? Because it was a blast back then... no Samsung S8, when the flashlight was on fire, yes, it's a beautiful display, but people don't want that... they just want a small mobile phone where they put their finger, pay with Apple Pay and go home. Great for me!
