The American server USA Today published a list of the best-selling technical products globally for 2017. Just like last year, the iPhone dominated the list this year, with a huge lead over the other products in the TOP 5. Apple appears twice in the list compiled by the analytical company GBH Insights. Of the competitors in the field of smartphones, only Samsung achieved a good position.
According to published data, Apple sold 223 million iPhones this year. The analysis does not further specify the models that entered this statistic, which makes it somewhat one-sided. In second place were the new flagships from Samsung, in the form of the Galaxy S8, S8 plus and Note 8 models. Together, they sold 33 million units. The third place in the ranking is occupied by the smart assistant Amazon Echo Dot, which sold 24 million units (in this case, the vast majority of sales will be from the USA).
On the fourth place is Apple again, with its Apple Watch. Even in this case, however, it is not specified which models are involved, so the statistics operate with sales across generations. The last place in the TOP 5 is the Nintendo Switch game console, with which Nintendo scored points this year and sold over 15 million units worldwide.
Apple is greatly favored in this statistic by the fact that no specific generation is taken into account for its products. If only information on sales of current generations was used in the data, the numbers would certainly not be so high. Older iPhones sell at roughly the same rate as brand new ones. In order for this to be a correct analysis, the authors should also include all generations from the Samsung Galaxy and Note series in the sales.
As for the 223 million number itself, this is the second most successful year in terms of iPhone sales. The peak from 2015, i.e. 230 million iPhones sold, Apple failed to surpass this year. Most foreign analysts, however, assume that it could be done within a year. Next year, it is expected that the "classic" iPhones will be cheaper, which in turn will bring them a little closer to potential customers. The price for the "premium models" (i.e. the bezel-less OLED display) will remain at a similar level as this year, only more than one device size will be available.

Those are a bit strange honors aren't they? iPhones feel like everything together, but Samsung only feels like the 8? So is he really a knight? That's like writing that the best-selling car is Toyota (sum of all models) and the second is VW Golf. The model itself. So especially that it is written in the title and the sheep who don't respect dal and have no brain, have a nice New Year's Eve, that they have the best-selling product?
Exactly. An article about nothing.
Not even a dog will bark at other and older Samsung models. Just like that, the A series can be more successful. Apple's older models 7 and 6s are still selling very well at lower prices. The table is certainly not accurate, but it is not far from the truth.
Sure. A wish is the father of a thought. The 7 and 6S are the two that keep Apple afloat. While Samsung is great at selling top phones, the S series ?

Samsung has been steadily selling around 80 million smartphones every quarter this year. So for the whole year it will be roughly like 2016.
For 2016, it was Samsung 309 million vs. 215 million Apple. So this year it will be roughly the same. Definitely not slow 10:1?
Apple just stares at Samsung.

After a decent first quarter, it fell to less than 50 million phones sold.
