When they first appeared speculation about the new iPhone Nano, so I expected that this is just wild speculation or possibly someone presenting a Chinese copy of the iPhone. It's not that I don't think so An iPhone Nano would be perfect for the target group of women, for example, who like the iPhone on the one hand, but it is simply too big for them. I don't even think that the smaller size would worsen the ease of writing (width should be plus/minus the same). On the contrary, I think the iPhone Nano would be a real sales hit. The biggest problem I see is application compatibility from the Appstore on a smaller display. A lot of applications were tailored to the current iPhone (both in terms of display size and, of course, resolution) and simply did not count on any other variant.

How did this iPhone Nano speculation come about and why is the concept gaining credence? Thanks to iDealsChina leaked images of the upcoming packaging design for iPhone Nano from XSKN. A lot of people would pass by this and think that this Chinese company just wants to gain visibility. But XSKN new entered the iPhone Nano category into their products and thereby confirmed this news. And what is the best? It was this company that introduced the cases for the iPhone 3G and iPod Nano 4G, although these products were not officially presented by Apple and no one had any idea what they might look like.

So we can rather start arguing if Apple will reduce this phone by some functions (for example GPS) and when it will be presented to the public. Although sources from China talking about January's Macworld 2009, others rather expect a later release. It is said that Apple is currently a bit behind compared to its original plans.

EDIT 24.12. – XKSN published pictures of their silicone iPhone Nano cases.
