According to the magazine, the next generation of the iPhone, likely to be called the iPhone 7, has Fast Company to come up with several major news right away. The new iPhone will reportedly lose the 3,5mm headphone jack, allowing it to be even thinner. The phone will probably also offer wireless charging and should be waterproof. To the editors Fast Company a source familiar with the situation in the company reportedly shared the news.
About the sacrifice of the headphone jack on the basis of alleged information leaks has been speculating for a long time. But now, for the first time, the server of a "more serious" coinage came with the information.
The iPhone should now rely on its Lightning connector and wireless technologies instead of the classic headphone jack. Apparently, Apple is already working with its long-time audio chip supplier Cirrus Logic to make the use of Lighting possible and the iPhone chipset is ready for such work with sound.
The audio system should also include a new noise suppression technology from the British company Wolfson Microelectronics, which in 2014 became part of the already mentioned company Cirrus Logic.
Independent manufacturers will also have the opportunity to use the technology in their headphones compatible with the Lightning connector. But of course they will have to pay for the license that is supposed to apply to the sound processing technologies.
Some media reported that following the removal of the 3,5mm jack from the iPhone, Apple will include a new model of headphones with a Lightning connector. Fast Company on the other hand, based on their information, they claim that Apple will sell the headphones with the aforementioned noise isolation technology separately, most likely under the Beats brand.
But such a thing does not seem likely to the influential Apple blogger John Gruber. Accordingly, it would be madness not to include compatible headphones with the iPhone. Gruber thinks that Apple will traditionally bundle some basic headphones with the iPhone. However, there is no doubt that under the Beats brand, the company will offer a whole range of more expensive headphones in both wireless and Lightning connector versions.
Some reports claim that Apple will include a reduction from Lightning to the "old" 3,5 mm jack with the iPhone. According to the renowned blogger, even that is not very likely. When Apple tries to introduce a new standard, it usually does not resort to such concessions, which unnecessarily slow down the development of new technologies. Carrying a reducer with your phone and pulling it out every time you want to listen to music is a very inelegant solution and incompatible with Apple's philosophy.
As for wireless charging, its use in the iPhone has been under consideration for a long time in Cupertino. This year, however, it could finally happen. Firstly, this is an interesting function that is already offered by a number of competing phones, and secondly, Apple has already successfully tested the use of inductive charging technology with its Watch. It would also be important that if Lightning headphones were connected, the iPhone could be charged at the same time.
Apparently, the iPhone could also achieve water resistance thanks to the use of special chemical protection of the internal components. With her according to the server VentureBeat the Samsung Galaxy S7 is also coming, probably the hottest competitor to the upcoming iPhone.
However, it is necessary to realize that although Apple may be working hard on all these innovations, it is far from certain that the company will use them all in the iPhone 7. the development of new technologies continued.
I once found that the iPhone in 2007 was the first ever smartphone to offer a 3.5mm jack in addition to the charging connector. The main advantage is, of course, charging with headphones. I don't know how it is now, but back then HTC with MicroUSB was quite a birth.
That's right, the 2007 k850i also has a weird hybrid port for headphones and charging.
that's right, and he rolled out after half a year.. Those were the times :)
I don't feel that the presence of a 3,5 mm jack would be an obstacle for thinning the phone or that its removal would make the phone thinner. Even now, the camera is sticking out of the phone strangely - they should mainly work on that. The problem that the phone can't even fit a battery with a reasonable capacity is another matter.
I do not know. On Flight through the World by Apple, they write that Apple's shares are the lowest since 2014, on the news again, that the production of iPhones is being reduced by 30 percent, because there is no interest in them allegedly due to small improvements. Personally, I don't understand how Touch force and a much better camera can be taken as a small improvement. I think it's a very big change. But if Apple throws out the 3,5 headphone jack due to thinness and thus probably reduces the battery capacity again and adds such nonsense as wireless charging, then please the broom and it will probably be the beginning of the end of one brand. I have a Note 3. I could easily have wireless charging. The cover costs a few crowns. I don't have it, because usually when I charge my phone, I also need to work on it, or maybe play games. If I repeatedly put the phone on wireless charging, the battery will go to hell. After a year with the Note 3, the battery is noticeably worse. I charge daily. If it gets any worse, I'll buy a new one for 400 and replace it myself. It's true that Apple has HandOff, and I do a lot of things on another device without touching the phone, but overall I don't think it's a useful feature. Water resistance is also questionable. I don't have it now, I normally use the phone outside. And everything OK. It's a fact that I don't bathe with him. But I don't miss it. So we'll see. If Touch force and an excellent camera are now taken as a small change that is not a reason to upgrade the phone, then the removal of the headphone jack, reduced battery capacity, wireless charging and water resistance will be complete "Killer features"
I don't see 3D Touch or the camera as an improvement. The photos I take with the 6s and I took with the 6s+ are worse than on the 6/6+. 3D Touch is a work in progress. Fast TouchID is also rather harmful. So, honestly, knowing this in advance, I wouldn't go in line.
Why is touch id quickly harmful?
Because sometimes when you just want to check the time and you turn on the phone with the home button, it immediately unlocks…notifications disappear and then you have to download the notification center etc.
Or first world problems.
See the discussion, it unlocks so quickly that there is no chance to quickly release the camera from the lock screen, or just look.
You have a decent understanding of the 6S. Lately I've seen you on probably all the most important servers, and you're everywhere hating on the phone you bought... Macforum, mobilmania, now jablickar... I'm not following anything, I'm just wondering how much hatred and frustration you must have felt for the 6s: :-) I hope I won't see her either... :-)
Try to find the meaning of that word;) Besides, I've been cursing for years, when I'm already so polished, you'll surely find it yourself and you'll also find why I'm writing this and that it's not just about Apple. It doesn't change the fact that it's the least of the evils for me, I'm just not one of those blind people who spray non-objectively. Not to mention the quality of the 6s series, what a bargain.
But don't worry, you're definitely not crazy :) there's no shortage of coincidences on the internet either. I didn't mean it in any bad way, I was just amused by the coincidence and frequency with which I come across your posts. No one classified you as a non-objective blind person, certainly not after reading your experiences. I just don't experience it that much. They're just things.
I'm not afraid, I didn't even take it badly :) They're just shops, well. I admit that I'm more sensitive to it, because I don't know where the satisfied users who don't have problems come from :)
I still wonder what increasing the thickness by 1-2 mm and increasing the capacity to, say, somewhere between 3000mAh for the IP 6 and 4000mAh for the iP 6Plus would do to the sales of iPhones. I think that would be the bomb. I don't understand at all how the phone can work with a battery not even 1800mAh. It's better with Plusko, it has a fairly normal capacity.
Well, I don't know, wireless charging by placing it on a plate doesn't seem like the right thing to me... I quite often fall asleep with headphones in my ears, and logically I charge my phone and it doesn't work like that... by the way, I wouldn't say that the 3,5mm jack is an obstacle in thinning the iPad air 2, which has It has a 6mm jack. Otherwise, waterproofing would be good.
You will have wireless headphones in your ears. The phone can easily be 10m away from you.
the pursuit of thinness is pointless, if they'd rather use the gained space for a flashlight than take off another millimetre..
exactly... I think that an 8-10mm phone won't offend anyone and it holds better than a wide-angle lens :). and a flashlight with twice the capacity would be great... well, thank goodness. trends are different and, unfortunately, often stupid
on the other hand, I find the waterproofness useful
Well, I don't see, 10 mm is probably enough. I have a Note 3. I have it in a flip case from Samsung. It's called S View, I think. The back cover is removed and the leather one snaps on. Without this cover, a phone the size of the Note 3 is impossible for me to hold in my hand. With this case, I can easily write SMS or do anything with the phone. The case adds 5-6 mm to the phone. If the phone was 10mm with this case, it will be 16mm. It's such a small book. It's not very comfortable to wear. I'm considering an iPhone 6plus. Given its size, I will have to buy a flip case for it. The back cover cannot be removed, so with the flip I will be somewhere around 10-12 mm. That's about it. Otherwise, both the Note 3 and Note 4 have batteries over 3000mAh and the phones are thin. In addition, the batteries are replaceable, which slightly reduces the capacity due to the size. If the battery is non-removable, it can better fill the phone's space. It can have an irregular shape. That's why it's surprising that a phone as big as the iP6 (I'm not even talking about the iP6Plus) has such a small battery. Notebooks and tablets have excellent durability. But the iPhone is really bad. Plus it still works, but the last models are a weakness.
hm, you're probably right, 10 mm is already too much :) but the fact is that the Noika 3210 was wider and it was nice to hold it. :). The battery life of the iPhone is really bad. Before, only the 6S plus has more decent durability.
I like the design of NOTE, I like it a lot... it's a pity that there is no iOS :)
I was just interested in this thought:
"Carrying a reducer with your phone and pulling it out every time you want to listen to music is a very inelegant solution and incompatible with Apple's philosophy."
..when I read it and look at the MacBook 12″ and the bunch of people who carry with them a reducer to a classic three-way USB, I feel that the reasoning above does not make sense.. :)
But who knows, maybe Apple cares more about music and listening to it than transferring data to outdated flash drives and won't allow the reduction - I hope :)
But no one carries a Macbook in the pocket of pants, shirts, t-shirts, jackets, etc. The less shops and connections I have in my pockets, the more positive I perceive it. There is also the question of how the reduction would be done. If it's a direct reduction, I'll have a "dick" sticking out of my phone. I've already clicked the spring from the RHA T20i because it was preventing me from holding the phone and it's useless anyway. If it will be an angular reduction, again a problem. If it were a buckle, it's probably the least painful, but still, another connection that will get stuck on the pants somewhere, or flop around somewhere. Not to mention that even after years, Apple still "can't" make cables so they don't fall apart.
I agree that the MacBook is not a pocketable device and the iPhone reduction would be more restrictive. Rather, I was giving it as an example that Apple's philosophy is not always 100% dogma.
An analogy to the MB 12″: either you can make do with int storage and the cloud, or use a reduction. ;)
Apple should make a similar move with headphones – either customers will switch to elegant wireless or they will be stuck with antediluvian reductions.
It's a little different, you use your mobile phone outside with headphones, so you would always have to have the adapter somewhere in your pocket when you have the mobile phone in your hand, etc. It's different with a Macbook - there it is calculated that just when you use it outside and therefore mobile, the adapter You do NOT need to. And charging/connecting other units is just fine somewhere on the table at home. That is, not somewhere on the road, at school, etc.
That spring is on those headphones because a lot of people think that the poor cable can withstand everything... But that's exactly where the tube breaks first,, and the spring prevents that, or at least tries to? Do I think it's great?
I can kind of guess what it's for;) Did you see the spring on those headphones I wrote? I don't want to talk, but it's about 10cm from the phone to the end of the fairly strong spring. So, e.g. lying down, when I hold the phone in my hand almost on my stomach, or I want to hold, I have no chance. It's not comfortable even when standing. And last but not least, the break occurs at the end of the spring, so….
My sweet 5s….
the poor quality cables used by Apple are the biggest thing for me.
When I was trying to find some quality wireless headphones, I came across the Kickstarter project Pugz. The project was founded by two young people who worked for a large and well-known phone manufacturer, as they were struggling on their own. The principle was that if you were far away from a power source you could charge them using the attached cable which was connected to the phone and thus took I think 2% of the battery for half an hour (also not sure) of playback. They successfully financed the project and started production. Unfortunately, towards the end, Apple made it impossible for them to charge their phones using this principle. You can find out how they dealt with it and how backers with iPhones reacted to it. In any case, it was a clear impulse for me to wait to buy any headphones for the iPhone.
... man, I don't know, but according to the link below, even the iP6S should be waterproof??
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m2y3lPWSCg
There it was so that it lasted in shallow water, but find out what happens if you fall into a half-meter deep pool. It's already bad there
Peter I believe I was just reporting what I found. Thanks for the heads up?
It's cool, I was putting things in the "right way" as far as I know, maybe someone will correct me again :-) But my last info is as I gave it :-)
We probably still won't get aptX, right? :-(
