Ondrej Holzman The second iPhone 6 that Apple introduced has an even larger 5,5-inch display and the "Plus" moniker. iPhone 6 Plus has the same design as iPhone 6 with rounded edges. The new Retina HD display has a resolution of 5,5 by 1920 pixels with 1080 pixels per inch on the 401-inch display. At the same time, the large screen gives new possibilities for iOS, which adapts appropriately in the landscape mode of the iPhone 6 Plus.
If in the case of the "basic" iPhone 6, Apple distanced itself from its previous claims that a display larger than four inches does not make sense, it turned these words on its head with the "plus" version. Five and a half inches means the largest iPhone that Apple has ever produced. However, it is also the second thinnest, being only two-tenths of a millimeter thicker than the Six.
The significant difference in display size is also reflected in the resolution: the iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels at 401 pixels per inch. This is an improvement on the current Retina displays, which is why Apple is now adding the HD label to it. As with the iPhone 6, the glass in the larger version is ion-reinforced. Against the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6 Plus will offer 185 percent more pixels.
A significant difference between iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus can be found in the use of the display. One and a half inches of difference means a completely new use of such an area on the iPhone. As the 5,5-inch iPhone 6 Plus moves closer to iPads, Apple allows applications to use the phone in landscape mode as an alternative interface to the iPad. In Messages, for example, you will see an overview of conversations in the left column and the current one on the right. In addition, the main screen also adapts when the iPhone is rotated, making the landscape control of the iPhone 6 Plus as natural as when you rotate the iPad.
Pro iPhone 6 i 6 Plus Apple offers a Display Zoom function that enlarges the icons on the home screen. In the standard view, both new iPhones add another row of icons, with Display Zoom activated you will still see a grid of four by six icons including the dock, only slightly larger.
The Reachability feature is also common to both new iPhones, which we can translate as attainability. Apple thereby wants to solve the problem of a large display while maintaining operability with one hand. With the 5,5-inch, but also with the 4,7-inch model, most users do not have a chance to reach the entire surface with their fingers while holding the phone in one hand. That's why Apple invented that by double-pressing the Home button, the entire application will slide down and the controls in its upper part will suddenly be within your finger's reach. Only practice will show how such a solution will work.
The size of the battery plays an even more important role in the 6 Plus than in the iPhone 6. The body of the phone is larger by 10 millimeters in width and 20 millimeters in height, which means the presence of a battery with a larger capacity. The 5,5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is supposed to last up to 24 hours when talking, i.e. 10 hours more than the smaller version. When surfing, whether via 3G, LTE or Wi-Fi, there is no such difference anymore, a maximum of two hours more.
The internals of the iPhone 6 Plus are identical to the 4,7-inch version. It is powered by a 64-bit A8 processor, which is by far Apple's fastest chip (25 percent faster than its predecessor). At the same time, it is able to work for a longer time with less heating. The M8 motion coprocessor takes data from the gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and now also from the barometer, which provides, for example, data on the number of stairs climbed.
The camera is largely the same as the iPhone 5S. It retains 8 megapixels from the previous model, but Apple has introduced the Focus Pixels system, which ensures much faster autofocus and advanced noise reduction. The key difference between iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is in image stabilization, which is optical in the case of the 5,5-inch version and guarantees better results than the digital one in the case of the smaller iPhone. Video can now be recorded in 1080p at 30 or 60 frames per second, slow motion up to 240 frames per second.
The same parameters can be found in the iPhone 6 Plus as in the case of the iPhone 150, also in terms of connectivity. Faster LTE (up to 5 Mbps download), three times faster Wi-Fi than iPhone 802.11S (6ac), support for calls over LTE (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi calling. However, this is currently only available with two carriers in the United States and the United Kingdom. And the iPhone XNUMX Plus will also be connected to the service thanks to NFC technology Apple Pay, thanks to which it will be transformed into an electronic wallet, with which it will be possible to pay at selected merchants.
The iPhone 6 Plus will be available in silver, gold and space gray from September 19. Pre-orders start already on September 12, but for now they will only be available in a few selected countries. It is not yet clear when the iPhone 6 Plus will arrive in the Czech Republic, nor its official Czech price. In the United States, however, the cheapest 16GB version will be released for $299 with a carrier subscription. Other versions are 64 GB and 128 GB.

Let me express my huge disappointment here. Apple has been going downhill pretty fast since Steve's death.
In my opinion, the last piece from the "Steve Jobs drawer" is the iPhone 5S 32gb, which I currently own and for which I was not sorry to pay even the 19. I will not switch to the iphone 990 in any case.
The diagonal that Apple has currently introduced is something... something I didn't expect at all and I won't get used to it in any case - 4,7 and 5,5″ :-Oh seriously!. And it's not just diagonal. It's also about the overall design of the iPhone 6 - horrible! absolutely no feeling, such a Samsung! How could they put this on sale?!?
