Apple has equipped the new iPhone 14 Pro (Max) with a brand new display, which is traditionally the best in the history of the company and the Apple phone. It offers even thinner frames and more space, of course the aforementioned dynamic island. In HDR, the iPhone 14 Pro display reaches a brightness of up to 1600 nits, and at its peak even 2000 nits, which are the same levels as the Pro Display XDR. Of course, there is the expected always-on mode, where you can see the time, along with other information, without the need to wake up. Because of this, the display has been redesigned and offers many new technologies. It can work at a frequency of 1 Hz, i.e. in the range from 1 Hz to 120 Hz.

With the arrival of each new generation of iPhones, Apple also introduces a new main chip. This year, however, there was a change, as only the top models with the Pro designation received the new chip labeled A16 Bionic, while the classic version offers the A15 Bionic. The new A16 Bionic chip focuses on three main areas – energy saving, display and a better camera. It offers up to 16 billion transistors and is manufactured using a 4nm manufacturing process, which is definitely positive information as a 5nm manufacturing process was expected.

Apple says that while the competition is only trying to catch up with the A13 Bionic, Apple continues to break all barriers and come out with more and more powerful chips every year. Specifically, the A16 Bionic is up to 40% faster than the competition and offers a total of 6 cores – 2 powerful and 4 economical. The Neural Engine has 16 cores and the entire chip can process up to 17 trillion operations per second. The GPU of this chip has 5 cores and 50% more throughput. Of course, it also has excellent and even longer battery life, despite the fact that the iPhone 14 Pro offers always-on and extreme performance. There is also support for satellite calls, but only in America.

As expected, the iPhone 14 Pro comes with a brand new photo system, which has received incredible improvements. The main wide-angle lens offers a resolution of 48 MP with a quad-pixel sensor. This ensures better photos in the dark and in low-light conditions, where every four pixels combine into one to form a single pixel. The sensor is then 65% larger compared to the iPhone 13 Pro, the focal length is 24 mm and the telephoto lens comes with 2x zoom. 48 MP photos can also be taken at 48 MP, and the LED flash has been redesigned, which consists of a total of 9 diodes.

The Photonic Engine is also new, thanks to which all cameras are even better and achieve absolutely unrivaled quality. In particular, the Photonic Engine scans, evaluates and properly edits each photo, so that the results will be even better. Of course, it also supports recording in ProRes, with the fact that you can record up to 4K at 60 FPS. As for the movie mode, it now supports up to 4K resolution at 30 FPS. In addition, a new action mode is also coming, which will offer the best stabilization in the industry.

The new iPhone 14 Pro is available in a total of four colors – silver, space grey, gold and dark purple.
