Pavel Jelic Apple presented several new products at this year's autumn conference yesterday evening. Of course, the most anticipated were the new iPhones, specifically the 14 (Plus) and 14 Pro (Max). In addition to them, there was also the presentation of the Apple Watch trio - Series 8, SE second generation and the new Pro series. The second generation of AirPods Pro, for which we have been waiting intensively for several months, was also not forgotten. Gone are the days when Apple tried at all costs to make its apple phones as thin as possible. Currently, it can be said that the Californian giant is currently (finally) not dealing with every tenth of a millimeter and thus has no problem making the new iPhones thicker compared to the previous generation. The truth is that most users will definitely not mind, and most likely won't even recognize it. If you are wondering why the new iPhone 14 Pro (Max) had to become stronger, the answer is simple - because of the new photo system. The top Pro models have a brand new wide-angle camera with a resolution of 48 MP, which unfortunately would not fit in the original narrower body. At the same time, it could bring a slightly larger battery - but we still have to wait for this information, as Apple does not mention it at the presentation.

Now let's put some specific numbers. While the iPhone 13 Pro (Max) is 7.65 mm thick, the new iPhone 14 Pro (Max) is 7.85 mm thick, which means an increase in thickness of 0.2 mm. As for the classic version, the thickness has also increased here, from the original 7.65 mm for the iPhone 13 (mini) to 7.80 mm for the new iPhone 14 (Plus), which means an increase of 0.15 mm. Both of these changes are practically negligible, but important in their own way.
