Undoubtedly, the biggest change in the new iPhone 14 Pro (Max) is the arrival of the dynamic island, i.e. the Dynamic Island, as Apple called it. It specifically replaces the classic cutout, which is still part of the classic iPhone 14 (Plus) and of course older models. The shot in the form of a dynamic island looks very elegant indeed, and Apple once again showed the world how much it can think about the details of its products and bring them to absolute perfection. While on Android this type of pill-popping would be completely uninteresting, Apple has turned it into an interactive element that is extremely sexy and will be loved by just about everyone.
The dynamic island thus became an integral part of iPhones and defined the direction at least the front of Apple phones will go in the next few years - most likely until Apple manages to hide the front camera and all Face ID components under the display. The dynamic island can be enlarged and expanded in any way from its classic form, depending on what will be displayed within the system with its use. You can view a gallery with all currently available dynamic island skins below.
Specifically, for example, it can be zoomed in on an incoming call, which will suddenly show you an interface for accepting or rejecting it. Furthermore, the dynamic island can expand, for example, if you have navigation running, where navigation instructions will be displayed. It also expands when using the stopwatch, when the time is displayed within the dynamic island, and it also expands when you want to authenticate using Face ID. There are really a lot of all these actions and possibilities that the dynamic island will be a part of. In any case, we will have to wait for sales to start when the iPhone 14 Pro (Max) reaches our editorial office to find out absolutely everything it can do. It is clear that Apple will gradually improve the functionality of the passthrough, and at the same time it will be very interesting to see how it will be integrated into third-party applications.
Practically, it's still a notch, and although they very skillfully turned it into a dynamic island using the software, I still have to ask - what is the use of the part of the display above the island? I'd say none, so we could quite easily stick with the classic notch and ditch the island. It will still take up quite a large portion of the display and hand on heart - it really misses it from time to time. I struggle with this countless times, because Apple took it as if the display is normally there and did not solve the fact that there might be important information that you need to see. Apple didn't solve it with any double-click, which would shrink the displayed content below the level of the notch (or island) so that everything can be seen (including the content hidden in those stupid rounded corners). Okay, but I didn't really want to deal with this right now. I'm just wondering what will happen to the space above the island. And if nothing else, it could have stayed black, because it's just a notch exactly the same as the non-Pro versions of the 14s.
More, don't buy it if you don't like it. I might like it. :)
You didn't understand the written text. Never mind, maybe next time.
I have to agree. I like the hiding of the island in various notifications and controls, but it could have been the same with the classic notch.
They would normally need you at Apple. 🤣🤣🤣
It really looks beautiful in their pictures and video, but there is one big "but". How will it all look if I use dark mode and a completely black background? I already can't see the notch at thirteen because of it, so how great will the island be if I can't see it? 😁
Exactly…
I don't know why they don't put a black strip up there and suddenly there will be a mess on the display of the whole place.
Cancel it completely, and throw the fingerprint under the display. That's the solution.
I don't agree with that .. Face ID is certainly much more reliable than Touch ID ..
